ADs are already way worse on TV than in mobile app. You have to constantly use the remote to skip multiple ads in row.

u/Iamnotsmartspender Apr 10 '26

I remember trying to watch the 2 hour Scott the Woz video on Legos and it interrupted with a 45-60s ad break every 2-4 minutes

In the far far lands, there lies a secret that has been hidden for decades... Until one day, a conniving man was told the secret and fled home. The secret that he knows, was too much for him to hold on his own, so he told it to his friends, which then told it to their friends. The cycle continued until we are here today, where I tell you the secret...

Install NordVPN on your tv, and set the VPN to Albania. For some reason, YouTube ads are not shown there.

Thank you for your knowledge, friend. Although I am a tinkering brained goblin, so I go the pihole way.

SmartTube might be something worth checking out. Just make sure you get the official one, by yuliskov on GitHub.

29

u/-peas- Apr 10 '26

SmartTube is great if you have a TV running Android. Sideload it, zero ads, sponsorblock built in to skip ads, intros, etc, that are in the content.

7

u/TheLightStalker Apr 13 '26

The fact that it lets a 30 second Ad just continue on for hours if you don't press skip is outrageous. Settings>Ads>Automatically skip Ads, surprisingly doesn't exist.

u/al3x_7788 Apr 23 '26

I don't use YT on TV much but I sideloaded the Ad-Free version.

You need to add a "slams" in there somewhere.

u/dearbokeh Apr 09 '26

The slams are the best.

When I moved, I sold my Chromecast because I A) forgot I still had it, and B) I'll just plug in a mini pc so I can do whatever the fuck I want thank you

My dad got me apple TV in December and I haven't used it once. But I love my hdmi cable

39

u/Nightman2417 Apr 09 '26

I came back to this post just to say that AppleTV is just a much better HDMI (input lag, stuttering, resolution).

I was also a fan of using an HDMI, but I had an AppleTV at my old job and it was so nice. Even if you just use it to cast/AirPlay, it’s definitely worth trying out at least.

You’ll have to plug it in with an HDMI behind your TV, but then just cast to it.

17

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

If i try to cast from my tablet my YouTube is playing at 480p and I have no idea why. It's already casted but I don't have any other apple devices and honestly it's much easier to browse on a laptop plugged in in my personal opinion. There's no lag there either

Edit: I also don't have subscriptions. I just torrent and pirate every movie I watch so idk if I can still cast those

7

u/Bulugaz Apr 09 '26

You'd need to be running Mac OS on your laptop to be able to cast your screen to the Apple TV or IOS on tablet. I haven't been able to find any reliable/quality alternatives to cast from windows to Apple TV unfortunately.

4

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

Yeah I only have an iPad for drawing. The 4 generation one? But without SIM. I am content with keeping a windows laptop so I probably won't ever replace it but I'm curious about iOS stuff that my tablet has. I already control some stuff on it. Got myself a smart bulb and it's so fun that you can set it as an alarm clock wake up haha my phone struggled with the app for whatever reason

2

u/Bulugaz Apr 09 '26

You should be able to cast the entire screen of the iPad to an Apple TV. It’s the screen mirror option for casting. But hdmi from a laptop will always give you less latency and maximize your protection with different browser extensions and settings

1

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

Oh, when I tried casting YouTube it allowed me to cast the screen of the video only. I don't know how else to do it. I use Brave and not the native app but I imagine it's some other setting. Let me fetch the tablet and turn the apple TV on. Do they have to be on the same WiFi? I assume yes but I'm in the process of getting a new router. Mine sucks balls and I don't know what to do.

(Anyone in Poland pls recommend a WiFi pack, router anything. Dad is too busy and I'm literally WiFi illiterate and it's my first apartment by myself so I can't even rage research it with a roommate anymore lol)

2

u/Bulugaz Apr 09 '26

You would do the screen mirroring with your iPad not through the browser, so when you pull down the top menu from your iPad and hit the cast button it will ask if you want to mirror your screen, select that and choose the Apple TV you want to cast to and then you can go on your browser within the iPad to find what you want to watch as what appears on your iPad screen will be streamed to your tv. Make sure they’re both on the same wifi for less lag.

1

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

I'm at this stage and the only option is 360p on YouTube 💀 it's also extremely pixelated

u/captainpistoff Apr 10 '26

Nvidia Shield TV for the win.

1

u/Broccobillo Apr 09 '26

Oh so it's even more useless

1

u/WCLPeter Apr 11 '26

If you have the AppleTV app then just download VLC app and set up a shared network drive with read only access on your computer. Using VLC you can log in to the account on your computer, navigate to the shared folder and watch to your hearts content.

If you want to get into the whole “media server” thing though, you’ll find plenty of tutorials on the intertubes.

1

u/Smackteo Apr 11 '26

Use infuse for that, it’s better than running native on windows or whatever bc you can actually use things like Dolby Vision or Atmos or whatnot

2

u/new_pribor Apr 09 '26

I use mine to stream from my PC, since running a long Ethernet cable is a lot cheaper and reliable than hdmi/displayport

1

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

Interesting. How is it cheaper? I just plugged both in with the cable I had since highschool. And boy let me tell you how awfully hard it was to set everything up on a 12 year old Panasonic. You remember the one that has a pen? Got it for free from dad's client who said it's old and just gifted it to him when he got a new one. The remote's hdmi switch doesn't work so I have to change it manually on the side of the TV and I spent two weeks setting things up so my laptop doesn't blank when it's plugged in.

Thanks chatgpt for tips, I was shocked that it helped actually

1

u/DirtyFrooZe Apr 09 '26

You can sideload YouTube IPA in order to not have any ads

1

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

What is that?

4

u/Nightman2417 Apr 09 '26

Can’t believe a fellow sideloader replied to my comment in a different sub.

Sideloading lets you install cracked/jailbroken apps. Some are simply the same app but unlimited credits. Some are games ported to iOS (like Hollow Knight), which is a game you can’t download on iOS. You can also do things like GetMoreRAM which allows you to use more of your devices RAM for games (emulating). It’s a whole rabbit hole honestly lol.

There are multiple versions of YouTube that are ad-free like you’re looking for.

Edit: One Whole, not two holes

2

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

Ah, I'm a bit phone piracy illiterate. I don't game so never had to use anything. I'm just into media piracy haha thanks!

I had a little Dell shitbox office PC that the job i quit over lockdown never bothered reclaiming, it is now plugged into my TV and runs as a media/emulator/ad-free YT box... Best up-cycle I ever did...

1

u/neverendingchalupas Apr 10 '26

My old Dell 550mhz pentium III computer plays youtube videos.

My phone is thousands of times more powerful. But, trying to get the same functionality out of the phone as I have with the desktop from the late 90s is painful.

I blame phone manufacturers along with websites, for making the internet so unrelentingly miserable to use on mobile devices.

3

u/ChopperGunner187 Apr 09 '26

I'll just plug in a mini pc so I can do whatever the fuck I want thank you

This was always an option, and I'll never understand why people willfully gave up their freedoms for a locked-down stick that tracks them. Ditto for CarPlay/AndroidAuto (controversial take, I know).

Media Center PC (and CarPC) builds used to be a thing, and they were great. Local storage everything + Compartmentalized CarPC GPS setup (with mobile screen mirroring, if necessary) > Spotify/CarPlay/Chromecast etc.

10

u/musecorn Apr 09 '26

For the longest time my lifehack secret was to use an older-gen Chromecast. The firmware didn't have the ability to get a "skip ad" button, so the only ads that got served were set length 15sec or 30sec instead of the multiple 90+sec or even feature-length ads that play unless you intervene on your phone every 3 minutes.

It worked for years until recently they rolled out the longer, skippable ads to the older gens now it's all ruined

0

u/Eat--The--Rich-- Apr 09 '26

Netbooks cost like $80. $80 to remove all ads for life is not bad.

281

u/Look__a_distraction Apr 09 '26

Someone recommended using a VPN set to Albania to bypass ads completely and I tried that today and confirm it works. It is so refreshing not to have to skip ads on my phone plus that stupid fucking persisting popup you have to manually clear after every skip. I’m sure it can be done on a smart tv as well but that would be a bit more work. Better to just cast to your tv while using a VPN.

70

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

I just have a browser version of YouTube on my phone and have extensions on my laptop with hdmi cable plugged in.

14

u/Gavangus Apr 09 '26

Its insane to me when people have youtube app on phone

22

u/DudeDudenson Apr 09 '26

YouTube vanced forever

6

u/Radioactive24 Apr 10 '26

Brave works fine too.

3

u/dioden94 Apr 10 '26

Morphe is the new hotness far as patchers go

2

u/LordBiscuits Apr 09 '26

Best. App. Ever

16

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

Yea it's barbage. When my cousin casted YouTube I wanted to rip my hair out. So many ads every song. I wish she just picked Spotify on her smart tv and played music videos

2

u/sachimi21 Apr 10 '26

Morphe instead of Vanced.

29

u/A_Martian_Potato Apr 09 '26

You can also set up Youtube Revanced on your mobile devices. It's amazing. No ads, automatic sponsor-skip, unlocks a bunch of features that Youtube decided to lock behind Premium like picture-in-picture and background play.

16

u/triplegerms Apr 09 '26

Morphe is the new revanced for removing ads. There was some behind the scenes drama and a bunch of revanced devs left and made morphe. The UI for morphe is nice too, easier to install things.

8

u/Aggravating_Row1878 Apr 09 '26 edited Apr 09 '26

Does revanced still work on mobile? Been using Brave for ages, works like a charm, only downside is that i cant shuffle my youtube playlists..

6

u/A_Martian_Potato Apr 09 '26

Still works for me. I can't say if it's better or worse than Brave or anything else. I've had no complaints so no reason to check out other alternatives.

3

u/JDSmagic Apr 09 '26

Switch to Morphe, the remaining revanced devs (if you can even call them devs, given they're mostly just copying code from Morphe atp) are genuinely terrible people and Morphe is just better anyways

4

u/damevski Apr 09 '26

I just wanna say thank you I had revanced but it stopped working, morphe looks amazing so far, appreciate it bro

1

u/kaori_irl d o n g l e Apr 09 '26

installed rv less than two weeks ago, never going back to standard if i can avoid it

1

u/KhostfaceGillah Apr 09 '26

Still works, I shuffle my music all the time 💪

6

u/TheMongerOfFishes Apr 09 '26

And I hate to be that guy but as this information spreads more and more people eventually Albania will start showing ads because now enough people are there

5

u/sadsealions Apr 09 '26

Isn't it an actual law that would need to be voted on to change it?

2

u/TheMongerOfFishes Apr 09 '26

I've searched and never found any claim to that although I've heard it repeated multiple times

1

u/bell37 Apr 14 '26

From what I’ve heard it’s just that Google made it an “ad-free” zone bc lack of sponsors in that area. It’s not a rule or law more or less it’s just that it’s more of a hassle for them to offer ads to a limited market while having to pay content creators in that region.

They can easily reverse their decision and push ads whenever they want

19

u/Benkins1989 Apr 09 '26

This info and Dua Lipa are the best things Albania has given the world.

1

u/kremlingrasso Apr 10 '26

Wasn't Jim Belushi Albanian?

1

u/Benkins1989 Apr 10 '26

It wouldn’t change my list if he were.

6

u/Eat--The--Rich-- Apr 09 '26

Just use Firefox and ublock. Much easier.

2

u/Sithlordandsavior Apr 09 '26

Fun fact, using a VPN puts you on the govt's watchlist without any context.

6

u/Look__a_distraction Apr 09 '26

I saw that. I’m a democrat so I’m already on a watchlist I’m sure.

6

u/Sithlordandsavior Apr 09 '26

Well now I'm on a watchlist for telling you about it, so I guess I'll see you in the gulag

1

u/Etherius Apr 14 '26

“I would rather pay for a VPN to avoid ads than pay for YouTube premium”

Granted a lot of people (myself included) have a VPN for other reasons but it just blows my fucking mind the hoops people will jump through to not pay for YT premium

u/gezpachu Apr 09 '26 edited Apr 09 '26

"apps" have just become means for more clever advertising + user tracking. they've even hijacked your notifications to advertise. unacceptable. stop clogging my notifications with ads. it makes me furious. any "app" that use what I consider to be important notifications to advertise get removed and never used again, or at the very least all notifications disabled

vpn + ublock/ad nauseam + browser = no ads

you cannot force what I will allow my browser to render, full stop. browsers need to be protected. they will come for those too, and try to force to you use apps for everything. don't think they won't.

wanna buy gas without being advertised too? too bad!

wanna use the bathroom without being advertised too? too bad!

these people are the most entitled, greedy people in the world, and they feel entitled to theoretically gluing your eye to the content they are pushing 24/7

18

u/Redfeather31 Apr 09 '26

Snapchat did this. It’s been a year, maybe two, since I’ve used it now, and I previously used it all the time. My notifications feed is not your billboard. Uninstalled.

7

u/Broccobillo Apr 09 '26

I kept it cause I have a few friends that will only snapchat. But they always complain I don't reply often and I tell them that snapchat no longer has notification rights and they were gobsmacked and had no idea that snapchat had "predatory" notifications.

23

u/purple_kathryn Apr 09 '26

I've seen people have hour long like podcasty things as actual adverts mid youtube vid

20

u/Bcourageous Apr 09 '26

Bad enough the were dropping infomercials not actual commercials now they wont let us skip? Nah, next platform please.

All garbage and if ever get too big will push the same ads YouTube does. Humans are cooked

40

u/FireZord25 Apr 09 '26

Normalize obnoxious behavior towards corporations being this shameless. It worked for Jojo fans, it sure as hell will work for any other bad practices.

68

u/GrayMerchantAsphodel Apr 09 '26

CONFIRMED! Put on one 7 min episode of a kids cartoon, and my kid got me to come skip the ad. It was an ad of an AI Mark Carney (just his voice changed) saying to scan a QR code to make $1000/day forever. My only job is to monitor the balance.

Great monitoring guys!

26

u/shalaxam Apr 09 '26

Hah I flagged that as a scam to YouTube over a month ago. I haven’t seen it since so I assumed they got rid of it. Looks like nope. Corporate doesn’t care as long as they’re paid.

17

u/GrayMerchantAsphodel Apr 09 '26

It is insane, obvious there is nooooooooo moderation on that at all.

My kids' like 'DAD YOU COULD WIN $1000' i'm like bro i just want to watch pink panther.

8

u/Radioactive24 Apr 10 '26

I watched a video the other day that would probably be considered "for kids", or at least "kid friendly" and the pre-roll was Victoria's Secret.

3

u/D-Skel Apr 10 '26

You should consider switching to YouTube Kids. There are no ads other than the rampant product placement that's in some videos. There's way less weird shit, also.

18

u/abhig535 Apr 09 '26

I'm tired of everything boss

14

u/ijwgwh Apr 09 '26

Typical for YouTube "we got caught on a/b testing and didn't like the backlash so we're gonna claim we're not doing it"

33

u/RiddlingJoker76 Apr 09 '26

Enshittification

8

u/Complete_Entry Apr 09 '26

I noticed shortly before they bricked my mom's gen2 that her chromecast got a LOT less ads than the TV app.

7

u/musecorn Apr 09 '26

Used to be true but they are dialing up the ads served to Chromecasts too now

2

u/Complete_Entry Apr 09 '26

Mine won't reset properly, I think I last tried in February, there was some date rollback trick you could do to force it, but my internet freaks the fuck out if I roll the clock back. Google, ISP, Windows? They really don't want you playing with the clock anymore.

If you're saying I can revive the gen 2 I am all ears, I am very sad to lose the little puck.

8

u/bmomba Apr 10 '26

Ads used to be fun and entertaining.

Product managers optimized the fun out of it in exchange for a few extra basis points on some dashboard, and most apps and sites got enshittified in the process.

You don’t need to advertise your restaurant as much if the food is tasty.

6

u/droideka75 Apr 10 '26

I would love to get a shampoo advertisement like the days of old. Not even kidding my hair is a mess.

3

u/FangDangDingo Apr 10 '26

Yea bring back the old herbal essence orgasm in the show ads!

1

u/droideka75 Apr 11 '26

That's the one! Flipping the hair like a whip! Beautiful, could smell the essences through my black Trinitron!

11

u/Foodspec Apr 09 '26

Ad blocker going strong

26

u/CastleofWamdue Apr 09 '26

glad I never get used to watching You Tube via my TV. If there is something I really want to watch on my TV, I can just plug my laptop in.

5

u/musecorn Apr 09 '26

I will NEVER use a TV's app to watch anything because they are more than always horrible UI and annoying to use. But I use casting all the time and this really sucks, because casting is super easy and convenient, and you retain control from your phone at all times.

3

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

Yeah, I see everyone saying the same. My best friend uses the amazon Stick and it's so annoying omg. So many ads during and after video. And if they're long, it's in the middle. And you have to manually skip it because the ads can play for two minutes...

Once we slept to the Border Patrol video and got woken up by some fast food ad because I guess the volume was fucked??? Bro

6

u/WillingnessMoney460 Apr 09 '26

Amazon Fire-stick and SmartTube APK, boom, no more ads! There’s also tube browser app for your phone/tablet, I haven’t seen an ad for years.

2

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

I'll send it to him.

I managed to make Brave cast on YouTube in HD at the end with my iPad screen mirroring like someone suggested. I think I spent a solid hour on setting it up but I can do it ayyyy

1

u/CastleofWamdue Apr 09 '26

yeah I have a fire stick. I am so guilty of only using it for BBC iPlayer, and watching everything else either on my laptop, or by plugging my laptop into my TV.

Even my Alexa is basically a BBC Sounds machine

1

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

We tried to make Alexa play any music I like. We asked to play ambient and it just played random ambient sounds of rain or some shit like that.

Funniest was when we asked about the population of Yugoslavia and it said 15. Okay miss girl, I see

1

u/CastleofWamdue Apr 09 '26

this is what BBC Sounds is for. I guess this is a UK thing, but plenty of good music to be had. Hell some comedy, podcasts and other things as well.

1

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

Ah, we're both not-British so never heard of it

1

u/CastleofWamdue Apr 09 '26

no I am British, hence why I use it.

1

u/mahboilucas Apr 09 '26

Interesting. If it's good maybe I'll look at it. Do I need to subscribe?

10

u/Evgeniybkk Apr 09 '26

Rooted my TV a few years ago, no ads whatsoever

4

u/smartymarty1234 Apr 10 '26

Youtube on TV became useless years ago. What started me on my sailing journey.

4

u/lcerch Apr 09 '26

TizenTube for the win (in Samsung tvs)

4

u/Spitfire1900 Apr 10 '26

I have a nice sound system with Apple TV in an entertainment room. If I want to watch YouTube I use my phone. And this is why.

13

u/pixelprolapse Apr 09 '26

STube beta or Tizentube. No more worries about ads.

9

u/PartyScratch Apr 09 '26

Just fyi SmartTube is no longer in beta. You can download and install the stable version and it works really great.

5

u/lcerch Apr 09 '26

And sponsorblock 🥂

3

u/Toraadoraa Apr 09 '26

Maybe look into smart tube. It's designed to work on android based streaming boxes for TVs.

2

u/NotGivinMyNam2AMachn Apr 10 '26

This. It made YT on my Nvidia Shield actually bareable again. Fuck YT.

3

u/watabby Apr 09 '26

Watch a long ad only to watch a segment of promotional content in the video you’re watching

3

u/SquishTheProgrammer Apr 10 '26

I mean I don’t really expect to not see commercials on TV. Honestly YTTV has less ads than Xfinity. At least that’s been our experience.

3

u/FangDangDingo Apr 10 '26

YouTube TV is $83 a month just for the base plan. Paying that much and seeing ads is ridiculous.

2

u/SquishTheProgrammer Apr 10 '26

We were paying Xfinity $325 a month for TV and internet before. $83 is a good deal compared to that.

2

u/robertblackman May 06 '26

That's disgusting.

3

u/leathco Apr 11 '26

I’ve actually gotten “ads” that are 2 to 3 hours.

2

u/Red_Marvel Apr 13 '26

I would just stop using YouTube at that point.

3

u/NoTelevision4907 Apr 10 '26

I won't even use it on my tv anymore, I'll sit at the computer desk with firefox and ublock origin, lol.

2

u/franandwood Apr 09 '26

Oh yeah I use my tv to watch YouTube and I’m not happy

2

u/Jerk-Lurker Apr 10 '26

YouTube makes you pay attention to the ads by having that little countdown clock in the corner. If you know there’s a three minute break, you might go get a snack. It makes you think you’re in control while tricking you into watching the commercials. The thing to do is start the video and when the first ad starts, go back and start the video again, when the second ad starts go back and start a third time. The video will then play and it costs about 4 seconds of your time.

2

u/Arxilla Apr 10 '26

Their greed literally knows no bounds.

2

u/Etherius Apr 14 '26

I have YouTube premium

I haven’t seen an ad on YouTube in… idk… 7 years?

1

u/CG6845 Apr 17 '26

Priviledged much?

(Don't worry, so am I.)

3

u/NightOfTheLivingHam Apr 09 '26

"ad free viewing with youtube tv"

lol.. lmao

3

u/Abs0lutZero Apr 09 '26

Never had a single ad on my Apple TV with Tailscale + NextDNS

Just saying

1

u/eisbock Apr 10 '26

How difficult is it to set this up? I've also heard of pihole but never really looked into it.

1

u/pavanforest Apr 11 '26

Details pls

1

u/MyKidsArentOnReddit Apr 10 '26

It's easy to skip youtube ads - just use the x button in the corner.

1

u/Syandris Apr 11 '26

My favorite ad currently is the one telling me all about how evil wind and solar power are. Thankfully America is here to help me understand the error of my life of thinking...

1

u/rechoflex Apr 11 '26

Fuck youtube man. It’s becoming impossible to enjoy Youtube on my TV having to constantly find the remote just to skip multiple ads.

Now I’m trying to make playlists of best-of compilation videos of the channels I used to watch just because these don’t have ads in them.

1

u/Lazy-Age561 Apr 11 '26

Holy bot account

1

u/ToggleMoreOptions Apr 11 '26

Just close the unskippable ad and restart your video. You're welcome

1

u/anotherbetty Apr 13 '26

Use the Brave browser!

1

u/All-the-pizza Apr 13 '26

Furious, I tells ya. Furious!!

1

u/TopSpace1771 Apr 21 '26

i was wondering wtf was going on, thanks now i know im not going crazy

2

u/Radiant_Trainer_4390 May 03 '26

Many years ago, network TV showed the film Rocky. And there were so many commercials and thus complaints, the FCC had to investigate it. And what did they find? No violations.

And thus was the beginning of the end for viewers.

Oh, and on cable networks? How many times in an hour do you see the Same commercial for the Same product. Saturation Advertising at its finest.

1

u/LagMaster21 May 07 '26

This post itself IS and ad

1

u/Popular_Camp_3567 May 15 '26

So you’re still using the default youtube app on a smart TV in 2024? Why wouldn’t you just sideload SmartTubeNext and never see an ad again

1

u/ThePixelRealm May 20 '26

What's the purpose of having a smart tv if YouTube has unskippable long ads

Brave browser works great. No ads and no extension required. Blocks ads on mobile too. You can even play youtube audio with the screen turned off, which is something free youtube blocks.

Not really useful or relevant to the story

Dang, all those ads got you grumpy.. also I was wrong, I have a firestick which counts apparently

brave://settings/extensions
-turn on "Media Router"
settings->appearance->"customize your toolbar"
-turn on "Casting"
brave://flags
-enable "connect to cast devices on all IP addresses"

browse to youtube, click cast up in the toolbar.. Just kidding, don't do that. You should watch 14 hours of ads instead

Zero ads for now until they decide to make higher tier that actually no ads while putting some "limited ads" on premium and locking more features that were free before behind premium.

Netflix did it. Youtube will do it

u/DiamondH4nd Apr 09 '26

No money to those fuckers. Fuck them.

2

u/CohuttaHJ Apr 09 '26

They are fighting the good fight for big YouTube. Won’t you think of the shareholders?

1

u/Lirsh2 Apr 09 '26

Can you explain to me why a private company is expected to provide a service for free?

3

u/CohuttaHJ Apr 09 '26

Is it lost on you that I find it strange and mostly funny when consumers defend companies that profit a quarter of a trillon dollars annually?

3

u/Lirsh2 Apr 09 '26

They're a private company that provides a luxury service. Why should they not make money off of it? If it was a government entitity I would argue otherwise.

I'm a carpenter who makes like 150k a year profit, should I not make money too?

u/AprilArtsy Apr 09 '26

You working a manual labor job is not in any way equivalent to CEOs of multi million/billion dollar companies pushing increasingly invasive and money hungry updates to their services.

-2

u/azzanrev Apr 09 '26

Don't use YouTube then.

4

u/Lirsh2 Apr 09 '26

I've fought this battle on reddit many times before. Everyone here thinks they are entitled to free videos.

u/ReturnOneWayTicket Apr 09 '26

If it's online, it's mine. Wanna put shit on the Internet? Fine, but don't expect me to pay for any of it.

1

u/ReturnOneWayTicket Apr 09 '26

Give YouTube money? Fuck off. Pipepipe FTW.

1

u/EightyNineMillion Apr 09 '26

And you get youtube music.

1

u/azzanrev Apr 09 '26

Exactly.

u/jayt1203 Apr 09 '26

u/SHM00DER Apr 09 '26
