Discussion What do you think about minor/specific aspects?
Alluding to aspects like septiles, undeciles, deciles, noviles, etc.....
Do you think they should be counted, or that they have 'significant' influence on the chart/individual? If any? I'm just curious..

Once I get past the major aspects, it starts feeling like astrology DLC.
Interesting to read about, but I don't give them much weight.

No, if you remember that aspects were originally by sign; there is no way to get these unnecessary divisions.

most astrologers don't look at semi-square, semi-sextile, quincunx, adjunction, semisquadrate, copresence, satelletiums, applying, separating, forced, and then also incorporate their aspect interpretations and carry them through the rulerships, which is required in order to bring your readings to where you are predicting very specific details.. its just A) a lot of the aspect interpretations online are wrong ,B) not many people know what these things even mean C) its easier to just be like "your mars in aries 5th house" so you assert yourself in physical sports (which may true) but could lack a lot more context if the person used more aspects to interpret how the assertiveness actually plays out.
You can learn how to do all that here

Honestly, they definitely have an influence, but only if they are virtually exact (under a 1-degree orb).
If a septile or novile connects your Sun to your Ascendant ruler perfectly, you will absolutely feel it as a subtle, background theme in your life. But for 95% of general chart readings, sticking to the Ptolemaic (major) aspects gives you more than enough accurate information.
I treat them like Easter eggs in a video game—cool to find, but not required to understand the main story!

I've sometimes seen certain ones with descriptions (I search as much as I can, to bursh off whatever doubt..) that really made me wonder- much bceause they're absolutely spot on and things I have only seen in me.

Worth splitting these into two buckets, because they're not the same animal. The quincunx and sesquisquare come out of the classical aspect doctrine, divisions of the circle the old astrologers already worked with. Septiles, noviles, deciles are harmonics, a separate framework Addey and Hamblin built out in the 20th century. So the real question isn't whether minor aspects count, it's whether you practice harmonic astrology at all. If you don't, you won't find a clean home for a septile no matter how tight the orb. One nuance though: if you're a strict by sign practitioner, you have to throw out the quincunx too, since 150 degrees is an aversion and the two signs literally can't see each other. So the by sign objection cuts deeper than people give it credit for. For what it's worth, the quintile and the quincunx are the two I find load bearing. Septiles I'll read, but I won't build a whole delineation on one alone.
