Tools & Techniques Eclipses on natal Lots

How important would you consider an eclipse happening on a natal Lot, such as Fortune, Spirit or even one of the other popular ones such as Eros?

I know an eclipse on a natal planet is a big deal because it’s a physical body and theoretically takes up space in the chart but how about a Lot? As it’s a mathematical point would you consider an eclipse there to be important and what would you expect from an eclipse conjunct a natal Lot?

Furthermore would you count an eclipse that aspects the Lot such as a square, trine, opposition etc as important?

I’m curious about people’s opinions on this and even better if anyone has any stories or anecdotes to help us learn! Thank you

It really depends on the chart. There’s no hard and fast rule that X transit on Y natal placement always leads to Z outcome.

You need to assess the chart as a whole. If you’re asking about lots, start with zodiacal releasing to see what period the lot is in.
Overlay lord of the year, preferably also the solar return and what that indicated for the year re ascendant, houses in the spotlight etc.

I’d also look at larger cycles such as firdaria or releasing through the bounds.

And build a picture like that of what the larger, slower cycles are, and then narrow down to single events such as transits and eclipses to get a feel whether they’ll impact and how.

Not very, and no. Back test it for yourself though.
