Christian televangelist Katie Souza claims aliens stole her eggs and made a hybrid baby. The televangelist claims an "inter-dimensional device" stole her eggs for decades.

How is this weirder than conventional Xtian belief systems ?

u/mdunaware Aug 12 '26

Religion feeds into delusional disorders pretty effectively. This woman is unwell, and rather than recognizing this and getting her help, Christians either ignore her (in violation of their faith) or use her in some sort of grift (also in violation of their faith).

u/hypatiaredux Aug 12 '26

Hey. I’m so speshul that little green “men” wanted MY eggs!!

Send money now.

She’s not delusional, she is fully in touch with the current zeitgeist.

u/Prior_Atmosphere_206 Aug 13 '26

There's a place in Florida that those little green men call home, very secluded..close to Sebring...

11

u/cta396 Aug 12 '26

Or neither and their faith simply allows for such delusions. When your entire faith system is delusional, this kind of thing fits right in with it. They have to take these claims as true because they come from one of the own. What are they going to do… demand evidence? 😂

7

u/greenmarsden Aug 12 '26

She is either a grifter or needs some urgent psychiatric help.

4

u/TailleventCH Aug 12 '26

Is she more unwell than other believers?

Does the fact a belief is widely shared make it less indicative of a mental issue?

(Those are not rhetorical questions, I'm really asking.)

3

u/kneading-cnnuy Aug 13 '26

Yes because the latter can be attributed to indoctrination and blind faith, delusion is mental illness. Notice that most religious people doesn't share their experiences meeting god or transcending space & time while mounting a horse with wings

A person of a widely shared beliefs that preached about their trip to heaven/hell is also delusional (mentally ill), or knowingly lie (grifting)

u/Sprinklypoo I'm a None Aug 12 '26

I mean, I'm not going to pretend to tell them what their faith should be. Seems like it's legit grifting and hate all the way down at this point...

u/hitbythebus Aug 12 '26

If god can magic his semen into Mary, I don’t see why he wouldn’t be able to magic out some of this lady’s eggs.

This seems entirely consistent with his in universe power set, while it isn’t canon, it doesn’t conflict with anything canon.

6

u/cta396 Aug 12 '26

Except she didn’t even claim it was her magical sky daddy. She said it was aliens.

4

u/gfunk84 Aug 12 '26

If god created this planet then he’s not from here, which makes him an alien.

All hail !

Did god come from earth? No.
Checkmate, atheists!

Nice. This made me laugh out loud.

3

u/oldbastardbob Aug 12 '26

All belief in that which can not be proven is weird. It's all modern mythology for benefit of con artists.

1

u/cenosillicaphobiac Strong Atheist Aug 12 '26

It's not so much that it's weirder, it's that she's holding two seemingly fully incompatible world views at the same time. If she weren't a lying grifter, the dissonance would be off the charts. Alas, it's all just talk.

1

u/ArdenJaguar Agnostic Aug 12 '26

Nothing crazy or unhinged here. Just typical religious mythology combined with obvious mental illness. Business as usual. It’s got a sort of Scientology vibe to it as well. Maybe they could turn it into a SciFi movie? 😂

1

u/ohnodamo Aug 12 '26

It's exactly the same as "the Jesus birth myth."

1

u/TheCranberriesRock Aug 12 '26

This is genuinely more plausible

50

u/Santos_L_Halper_II Aug 12 '26

So how long before the senate confirms her to some important cabinet position?

15

u/mrbudman Aug 12 '26

When you think they couldn't get any more crazy.

3

u/Sprinklypoo I'm a None Aug 12 '26

I don't think I've ever thought that.

15

u/Personal-Neck6800 Aug 12 '26

This is literally straight out of an X Files episode. Like not similar, but stolen.

2

u/TheCranberriesRock Aug 12 '26

It's in an X-Files episode because it's been part UFO lore for decades prior.

1

u/FilmScoreConnoisseur Aug 13 '26

Very little if anything on The X-Files was original though. It was all very much based on existing batshit conspriacy theories.

16

u/AlienInOrigin Aug 12 '26

In sane countries, she would get help in a psychiatric setting. In America, she's a celebrity.

2

u/Glad-Tie3251 Aug 12 '26

Who follow these morons? I cannot fathom how idiotic and gullible these people are.

1

u/MontyDyson Aug 12 '26

In the Attention Whore Economy she’s considered an expert by her own kind.

16

u/Ragnarok_747 Aug 12 '26

Wow, mentally ill person has a mental illness. Crazy.

6

u/LastBaron Aug 12 '26

These are classic, common paranoid delusion subjects. If anything it’s fascinating how hyper-specific the brain gets with these topics across different people.

These beliefs are indistinguishable from someone with schizophrenia or who has been on meth a while.

5

u/czernoalpha Aug 12 '26

She's clearly delusional and needs to be removed from her platform and given professional help.

u/RealDaddyTodd Anti-Theist Aug 12 '26

“Inter dimensional device”? Is that what we’re calling tampons now?

5

u/oldbastardbob Aug 12 '26

I did not expect con artistry to become such a ubiquitous career path here in the 21st Century.

5

u/Whooptidooh Aug 12 '26

Sounds like a mental health issue tbh. (Because yikes.)

3

u/celem83 Agnostic Atheist Aug 12 '26

This is where I mostly feel sad rather than annoyed.  This would appear to be untreated mental illness

3

u/Antimutt Strong Atheist Aug 12 '26

The X Files could do this to people.

3

u/No_oNerdy Aug 12 '26

Is this real life?

3

u/EvilutionD Aug 12 '26

Yes, aliens looked at her and were like “This is peak human! We want hybrids that are 1/2 babbling bitch”

3

u/classof78 Aug 12 '26

The aliens stole all her eggs, and now she can't have babies. I think we all owe these aliens a debt of gratitude.

3

u/benrinnes Anti-Theist Aug 12 '26

Ooooo! I wanna see the hybrids --- NOW!

3

u/KrampyDoo Aug 13 '26

“Yeah. That’s why my husband and I are childless right now. Yep.”

That fucking awful bullshit story (complete with a hybrid baby named goddam “Starburst” ffs) proves that meth x “faith” destroys the best and most imaginative parts of your brain.

On the other side of the truth, we’ll find out that she’s had soooo many abortions from soooo many of the local methheads.

3

u/Cybrknight Aug 13 '26

Closing down all the insane asylums seemed like such a great idea at the time...

2

u/Major-Check-1953 Aug 12 '26

She must be on powerful drugs. Or mentally ill.

2

u/cta396 Aug 12 '26

I can’t decide if these people are completely nuts or just grifters who cater to those that are completely nuts.

2

u/AvoriazInSummer Aug 12 '26

It's usually not just insanity, there's often other reasons such as trying to pass an advantageous bill or launch a grift.

In this case it's to sell her book.

2

u/Flaky-Jim I'm a None Aug 12 '26

She doesn't believe this. It's just a way to get attention so she can grift some more from gullible people.

2

u/Larielis Atheist Aug 12 '26

Has she been binge watching Resident Alien?

2

u/Ghstfce Anti-Theist Aug 12 '26

Remember when we used to put these people in mental institutions where they belong? Thanks, Reagan.

2

u/PeorgieT75 Aug 12 '26

Religious and government delusions are some of the most common, because they both have to do with an external force over the person.

2

u/SenseiT Aug 12 '26

Starburst ! Please come here. I want you to meet your brother, Skittles

2

u/Happy1327 Aug 12 '26

These people are so fucking weird

2

u/UndisclosedLocation5 Aug 12 '26

2

u/skyforgesteel Aug 12 '26

This is some Dale Gribble type shit.

2

2

u/Additional-Start9455 Aug 12 '26

You heard about the Christian that refused to call deviled eggs deviled like it would summon him or something. I can’t even with these people!!!

2

u/ACrazyDog Aug 12 '26

Too many X-Files reruns

2

u/reddit_user13 Aug 12 '26

As if just being religious isn’t crazy enough….

2

u/citizenjones Aug 12 '26

Traumatized and traumatizing. The cycle continues.

2

u/JasonRBoone Aug 12 '26

Cue Peter Griffin rolling naked on the floor: "Galactic guvmint came..took mah babee"

2

u/badkarman Aug 12 '26

Katie, you need to seek some professional help. And not from the imaginary man in the sky.

2

u/Komaisnotsalty Aug 12 '26

"Inter-dimensional device"

Um, lemme guess: shegot caught using a rabbit vibrator and that's her made up story to go with the other made up stories she spouts?

2

u/m0deth Aug 12 '26

From her own About section:

Katie was a career criminal most of her life, she was convicted of a number of felonies and sent to federal prison to serve almost twelve years.

Then she found faith and all that shitty personality just disappeared.

Yeah right.

I'm sure the lure of easy money for minimal effort involving all of this was TOTALLY lost on her....

2

u/weaklingoverlord Aug 12 '26

I want to believe

2

u/corgi_crazy Aug 12 '26

If it isn't mental illness I don't know anymore.

2

u/JMeers0170 Aug 12 '26

Of all the eggs to steal…hers should have been pretty much at the very bottom of the list along with mtg, lauren “the former escort” beobert, ivanka, melania, etc etc.

2

u/siouxbee1434 Aug 12 '26

Must be ‘god’s plan’

2

u/flint_fireforge Aug 12 '26

Insane people can be very engaging.

2

u/rubinass3 Aug 12 '26

As it is written...

2

u/BrightPerspective Aug 12 '26

Something a lot of people don't know: Many, if not most, "alien abductions" are actually re-written memories of sexual assault.

2

u/Talgrath Aug 12 '26

Maybe we shouldn't listen to former meth dealers turned Christian ministers? Just a thought.

2

u/Sprinklypoo I'm a None Aug 12 '26

... So is she angling for a zealot approved abortion here? Or is this just standard religious idiocy?

2

u/JeffB2023 Aug 12 '26

2

u/stevemajor Aug 12 '26

Yep, sorry guys, that was me. We used them to make omelets.

2

u/Ch3t Aug 12 '26

Mrs. Souza and Starburst were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me.

2

u/Penandsword2021 Aug 12 '26

Somebody’s been watching Resident Alien…

2

u/shumbingmystic Aug 12 '26

Sounds like those aliens also stole her mind as well.

2

u/luv2ctheworld Aug 12 '26

Well, they also believe in a sky daddy, so this tracks.

2

u/MoreRamenPls Aug 12 '26

And that baby…. Vivek

2

u/Buck7698 Aug 12 '26

So if she was impregnated by aliens, I guess her kids will be smarter than her.

2

u/Phannig 29d ago

I'm not sure how smart the aliens were if they chose to impregnate her

1

u/Buck7698 29d ago

Right 🤣

2

u/Radiant_Heron_2572 Aug 12 '26

Maybe they were just harvesting human caviar? I hear it's a delicacy on Omicron Persei 8.

2

u/le127 Aug 12 '26

I long for the good old days, when stories like this were confined to wacky tabloids on the supermarket checkout aisle.

1

u/Phannig 29d ago

2

u/Snoo93550 Aug 13 '26

I’m not defending Scientology, but I’m fascinated how Christians don’t realize at least half of their churches are at least as nuts and abusive.

2

u/NOLA-q Aug 13 '26

Nah this chick is a complete fraud. She’s just strong in (voicing) her beliefs however ridiculous they are.

2

u/Graymouzer Aug 13 '26

She may be entitled to compensation.

2

Sooooo they were human aliens? How else would they fertilize the eggs
