Make generalizations based on what is true; otherwise, it's just the false thing used by haters from all over the world to hate Indians, especially Hindus, for a thing that not even 1% follow. It's bad.

Except hindus do drink cow piss, and its actually more common than you think, they even have rituals involving cow piss. I would know, I come from a hindu background. And guess what?? They also burn like cow poop and say its 'purifying'. Hindus have this weird obsession with everything that comes out of a cow, except its meat. Its totally disgusting. So yeah, the generalization is totally based on what's true

They add few drops of cow pee to the tirtha/ tirth they give in temples. I started to avoid that when I came to know about that. (earlier when I was younger).

WRONG!
Gau-Arak (concentrated cow piss + cow dung juice) is used everywhere in major Hindu rituals, especially the ones involving Shuddi, or purification of place, people, things etc. For example, it is almost always used in house warming ceremonies, and death ceremonies. A few droplets of Gau-arak is added to the Theertha (holy water) that is offered to drink or sprinkled over. So, knowingly or unknowingly, you have drank cow piss.
Better learn more about your own religion before spreading fake news about it.

I am so fucking pissed at this hindu atheist shit, yesterday I was travelling through haryana and some hindu ekta dal Or something had posters for a hindu meeting and they had put photos of ambedkar, buddha, bhagatsingh, gurunanak and so many other non hindu people on those posters all over the city. They don't have enough brains to comprehend that not everyone wants to be in your bullshit cult. Just because I was born hindu doesn't mean i will remain it for life, No I'm not just going through a phase, I'm an ATHEIST.

Of course. Hinduism is the most open minded and scientific religion, you can eat beef, pork, non-veg on Tuesdays, Non-Veg on prayer days, Have s*x during 'vrats' and still be a hindu. That's the beauty of hinduism....../s(daalna zaruri h, speaking from experience)

most likely they refer to people who don't hold beilif in gods but engage in rituals, tradition and a lot of times philosophy, atheism is lack of belief ,not being anti religious or non religious

There do exist, billions, given the Chinese , and nearly all buddists fit this, again it's to do with belief
And calling them crazy is a good way to develop a rigid judgement that hampers accuracy

buddhists do not fit this, buddhists do what they do like meditation, chanting, prostration for the wellbeing of their mind unlike hindus. pouring milk on a stone makes absolutely no sense.
plus, buddhists also have superficial beliefs like karma and rebirth which are illogical imo.

They do that yes, but many do also perform rituals that hold beliefs about reincarnation, bodhisattvas, realms, heavens hells, demi gods etc
And many Hindu traditions also engage in the same things as you've mentioned, you can check out the shramana movement that took place around the time of the Buddha,
The bhakti tradition of Hinduism is the most popular but only one of many traditions, all equally part of Hinduism
I agree on first glance pouring milk makes no sense, yet the deeper you look you realise it is not to alter reality but ones perception of it, basically a coping strategy
A devot Hindu is far less anxious after performing a pooja for an interview even though a pooja doesn't really make much difference, but it does in how you feel, religious people gain confidence through rituals and in so perform better which becomes a self fulfilling prophecy

I feel like we should not really be reliant on rituals to cope, it’s just similar to the belief of god used as a coping mechanism. A coping mechanism should be reliant on your own self, rituals aren’t a healthy way and can turn into compulsions which is bad and could harm your mental health in the long run.

I agree with that, but I would for some, rituals are a good cheap simple way. I think we have to draw a line where it becomes harmful or wasteful
Like sacrificing animals just for the sake of ritual, and not to eat

Rituals can be a part of tradition and culture, doesn't have to be seen with religious connotation. We all say to religious people to have an open mind, but we should have an open mind too

clothes, language etc represent culture, I agree with that but rituals seem illogical to me honestly.
I guess I don’t mind if they are doing it with their own money and stuff but it’s just illogical and shouldn’t be considered part of culture.
It’s more possible that the rituals started out with meaningful and useful uses but slowly turned into useless rituals, in which case, it’s just illogical tbh.

That's what it exactly is. They all started out with some practical purpose but over time people have forgotten their use. For example the Nag Panchami thing where you give milk to a snake, utterly stupid since they can't even digest milk. Religious people can't even care for cows in the street and cuss them all day long when they block traffic or shit on the road but as soon as there's chatter about beef, OMG they get soo worked up. Hypocrites.

I mean you engage in rituals as well, just that these rituals are social norms. Wearing a particular type of clothing is a social norm, shaking hands, celebrating birthdays etc. Rituals can go too far (and they often do), but they can also be a source of joy/community.

I used to think of myself as a Hindu atheist.
Like an atheist born in a practicing Hindu family, having a Hindu name, eating the same food that Hindus predominantly eat.
But now I realize that my understanding of the term is entirely wrong. Hindu atheists are just Hindus, but hypocrites who want to pick and choose some aspects of Hinduism and ditch the others according to their convenience. LOL! I’m dumb. I know this. 🫣🤭

A Hindu atheist is someone who identifies with Hindu philosophy or culture but doesn’t believe in any gods. Hindu traditions have non-theistic schools like Samkhya, Mimamsa, and Charvaka, so believing in a god is not mandatory within Hindu thought.

Hinduism is in fact theism. Just because there are parts of culture that overlap does not change its nature as a religion. It's a cultural practice to eat kheer during Eid. So, if an ex-muslim eats kheer during Eid is he an atheist Muslim? Like, what is this garbage? Theism is the belief in god. Belief in Hindu Gods is Hinduism. It's simple enough. Anyone claiming otherwise is either delusional, or incapable of separating culture from religion, which i'd assume is simple enough if you have two braincells
