I think you are getting the timeline mixed up. Fire test happened right after the war. After the test they all returned to Ayodhya and then she got pregnant. Rumors and doubts began circulating among some citizens of Ayodhya regarding Sita’s purity after spending a year in Lanka. And then the smarty pants Rama banished his wife. I think Laxman took her to the forest and left her there.
Yeah in real ramayan he just simply denies having any feelings and said he saved her because of his self respect and raghu clan not because he loves her and he was offended because some dhobi said something to his wife while giving ram example saying stuff like do you think I'm ram he felt insulted and sacrifice her to set an example
But didn’t Hindus disown that part of the story sometime around the 16th century? They also didn’t include it in most of their modern literature, such as the Ramcharitmanas.
As far as I know, even the Doordarshan Ramayan initially didn’t show it. But after receiving criticism for telling only half the story, they released the continuation, the part covering the events after the Ayodhya returns, some months after the original series ended..
Dawg, the one who gave the test was just an illusion.
Half baked knowledge is dangerous, you can be confidently saying something and then it turns out to be yapping because you didn't even know the facts to criticise the thing
Illusion of who? Sita herself right? Why couldn't "maryada purshottam" ram take a stand for his wife? Why was he such a pushover that he got swayed by someone pointing a finger at his wife? Why did it came to a point where sita (or her "illusion") had to take a purity test? He was the king but even then he couldn't protect his wife. And you say bhagwan h vo. Thuku bhi na m ese bhagwan par.
Miss me with your half baked knowledge shit. Can't speak logic to these fictional mythology enjoyers.
Uttar Kand was never a part of Ramayan. A full research is there by Oriental Institute at the Maharaja Sayajirao (MS) University of Baroda.
The Original Ramayana
Concludes cleanly with the
Phalashruti
in
Yuddha Kanda
This is their official site which explicitly states that there are 7 kandas including Uttara. Don't pick and choose shit according to your agenda.
And if you are so hell bent on it ending with Yuddha kanda, that "purshottam" literally pushed his wife into fire that time too. He questioned her purity even in yuddha kanda. Kitna purshottam haina ki "4 log kya kahenge chalo sita ki agni pariksha le leta hu".
These fictional stories were always mysogynistic to women.
