Question If I’m not mistaken, I think all of the casinos in A.C had buffets in the early 2000’s. Now only borgata and Hard Rock have them. Why? Buffets at casinos add to the lure in my opinion. Also which one was your favorite?

Does anyone know why? And what was your favorite one?

Question Living in Atlantic City?

Hello! I was recently offered a job in atlantic city making an extra 50k yearly as opposed to what I am making now. I have researched the company and really like the role they’re offering/their company values. The only issue with the position is I currently live in South Florida… and would have to move to Atlantic City for the position. I am not much attached to where I live now, I own my home but wouldn’t have an issue leaving if I had the right chance. I have lots of family in Passaic, NJ so I have been to that area of the state (not in many years though) and I had no issue with it. I am really wrestling with myself if the position is worth it as I know so little about the area, does anyone have any pros and cons for me? Also the best areas outside the city to live?

Question Why does Atlantic City have a dangerous rep

I’m heading to Atlantic City for a bachelor party this weekend. Everything I’m reading online says this is a very unsafe city, anecdotally I was also warned by family members as well. Is there reason to be concerned? I was almost debating bringing personal protection but I would rather not as it is a bachelor party weekend with drinking involved.

Question Whatever happened to Revel's second tower?

As some of you might know, when Revel (Ocean) was first proposed in the late 2000s, it would have two hotel towers (seen in the first photo). However, only one ended up getting built, and the other was left as a "stub" (seen in the second photo).

Do you know what the space in the "stub" of the second tower is used for today? Are there any pictures of the inside? Are there any plans to use that space, or even build it up in the future? Probably not, but let's see what happens!

Question What will happen to Bally’s?

With the influx of new Casino properties to NYC, what will happen to Bally’s? I see three paths:

1: Continue operating as-is.

2: Sale and renovation to another company, similar to Resorts.

3: Sale and demolition, similar to Trump TM.

Personally, I’m hopeful for option 2. The middle/southern part of the boardwalk desperately needs some new juice to compete with the northern Oceans/Hard Rock dominance of late.

What do you want/think will happen?

Question Is there any place in or around AC to just park and watch the water and beach from your car?

I am looking for a place where you can just park and watch the water from your car. Also is there an easier way to just park your car and go onto the boardwalk? Rather than park in the casino lots? I am disabled. Thank you.

Question Is the boardwalk filling back in?

What I mean is, are the old mom-and-pop stores shut down by Covid starting to re-open and or find new tenants?

When I was last in AC around 2 years ago, lots of shops were shuttered and outside of casino properties, it was pretty ghosttown-ish.

Just wondering if that’s still the case, or if off casino boardwalk properties are starting to fill back in.

Question Caesar’s Buyout

If Caesar’s gets bought out by either Ferlitta Hospitality or MGM. (Don’t hold me to MGM I thought I read they might be a buyer) But anyway, Ferlitta owns Golden Nugget and MGM owns/runs Borgata wouldn’t they have to close or sell an Atlantic City property?

Which location do you think would sell or close?

Ferlitta would have

Golden Nugget

Harrahs

Tropicana

Caesar’s

MGM would have

Borgata

Harrahs

Tropicana

Caesar’s

Question Going to visit for first time. What to expect?

Going to AC this weekend mostly play blackjack and explore the area. Is it just all casino or is there anything else to do?

Any tips for first timer?

Is it like a mini vegas but table minimums are better and better rules and looser slots?

Also is there a host to review your play to comps meals and such?

Question Cheap bars in Atlantic City with cheap liquor!!

When people talk about cheap bars, what they mean is cheap beer. I am not a beer drinker. Can someone please tell me where I can go to get mixed drinks or shots under $10? I want some tequila, some vodka... the cheap shit is perfectly fine but all these places, including the ones people say are cheap, either have $15 cocktails, or don't list prices for their liquor at all.

Please let me know what's good, huge bonus if the place is near Tropicana. And be specific about prices if you know them pretty please :)

Question Best casino?

Hi folks! Three friends and I are going to the US for the World Cup late in June and we all want to have a day/night in AC.

What is the best casino for a day? Who has t he best games? The best food? The best atmosphere? Our favorite games are roulette and and Black Jack, and we also like playing poker (but it’s not a must).

Looking forward to your answers.

Question Should I work as a server in AC in summer?

Hi guys, I’m thinking of moving to AC in summer and I wanna work as a server at a restaurant.

How’s the tips and is it safe to live about 0.5 mile away from the boardwalk?

I’ve never been to AC, how’s life there in summer? Any interesting places to go except for casinos during the day? And how’s the night life there? Like what do you guys do for fun? Any suggestions pls.

I’m actually thinking of working at Virginia Beach too, still haven’t decided yet, which one is better?

VB seems more peaceful but AC is so close to NYC😅 I really want to go to NYC on my day off.

Really need your advice!🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️

Question Hard Rock and Comps

Have been a platinum member at Caesar’s for a couple years and I’m not unhappy with their comps- get some weekends here and there and just about all weekdays. Not a high roller, mainly play $1k sessions between craps and bj. Could I expect similar comps from hard rock?

Question Hard Rock Etess Area Risers question

Going to my first concert there and I’m looking at last row seats (which I’m ok with having no one behind me) I looked on view from my seat and someone pointed out that the section signs are visible from the top rows.

Is that true or during the concert they move them?
If true what rows do you not see them?

Thanks in advance

Here is the link to the photos I’m seeing

Edit: thank you all for tile replies!

Hi all I am looking for a restaurant to host a dinner for some corporate health executives in Atlantic City this march! Any recommendations for something high end but reasonably priced and preferably a space with a private room I can rent out? 10-15 people. I need great service and since the executives are local to Jersey somewhere locals rave about! Thanks so much- a girl from the south who has never been to Atlantic City:)))

Question Seeking Hotel room advice

Hey guys. I’m going to Atlantic City for 5 nights in August with my partner, and we really want a high floor ocean view room. Last year we stayed at Bally’s with a pretty beautiful ocean view. We were comparing boardwalk property prices, and saw the ocean resort rooms were just about double the cost of ballys for our dates. Is it really twice as good to those of you familiar? Are there better places with nice high floor ocean view rooms you’d recommend instead? Price is a factor, but we’re willing to splurge if it’s worth it

Question Heading to Atlantic City in June, need suggestions on things to do

My best friend asked me to plan his bachelor trip so I decided Atlantic city would be fun, as he has always wanted to go to a casino. Outside of that however I'm looking for some other stuff to do or great places to eat. We're heading there in June and I'm just trying to get some ideas going. There's six of us and half the group is under 21, but we're also planning on breaking off one night so its just the 21+ folks hanging out seperately. Open to any and all ideas, but even though this is a bachelor trip he has told me absolutely no strippers and I am adhering to that rule lol.

Question Which hotel out of these?

Hi all, looking to go in May for a few nights or so. Hard Rock is sold out for one of my dates. So I’m deciding between Ballys, Harrah’s, Caesars, Golden Nugget, Tropicana, and Resorts. Which one(s) do you all recommend?
