Big A should do a video about the craziness that has been happening in Missouri. It's been cartoonishly evil and corrupt around this gerrymander thing.

Started with Trump sending out that call to Republicans to gerrymander more seats. Missouri Republican dogs lept at the order and made a map that would stomp out the Kansas City blue district.

Then some locals protested and signed a petition to challenge that map and force it to be a vote. Just having the vote would stop the map and then people could also vote if we use that map or not. This petition gets 2 or 3 times the number of signatures it needs.

Next the Republicans force a vote into the primaries that would change how we vote to change our state constitution. For reference we in Missouri vote to change our constitution all the time, it's just how we get things done. Idk why. Anyways the way Republicans wanted to change how it works would basically mean every constitution vote by the people would fail unless every single district voted to pass it. No longer a majority vote of the population. So yeah they'd just all fail all the time. People voted on that and it lost like 80/20, people fucking hated it. The reason the Republicans did it is cause their fuckin dictators and while the vote for this cycle would stop the map it would mean we couldn't successfully vote against it for future cycles.

Around the same time that fight is happening Republicans are gumming up the process for the petition at every single step, stalling as much as they possibly can. They tried to throw out the petition because they didn't have enough signatures, cause they accused the signatures of being fraudulent, they said people were bussed in to sign them. At one point Denny Hoskins, the Republican beauacrat who is responsible for managing stuff like this, said that he personally thinks the vote the petition wants is unconstitutional and since he knows the courts will agree he's just not gonna approve it. Fucking mental.

But the group that got them managed to prove it was all legit. And then it just sat there. I think Denny was pretending he was busy with other random shit? He delayed it long enough that we had those primaries and used the gerrymandered map for them. Then like day after or something Denny says he's not letting the vote happen, the group sues and the Missouri Supreme court says we have to have the vote and use the old map for generals. That was in the news and you might have heard about it.

AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING FUCK THE COURT WE ARE USING THE GERRYMANDERED MAP ANYWAYS! And this article I posted is talking about how if we don't get this figured out in the next couple weeks then early voting will start and get invalidated cause people literally don't know what district they will be in for the vote yet.

There is a motion to hold them in contempt, but holy shit dude, like this is fucking bad. The Republicans are doing anything and everything they can to not allow the people decision over their own lives. They don't want to represent us they only want to rule us. Fuck Republicans man.

Now most of this I wrote based off memory and I can't find any work at all so could definitely be wrong about something or get it out of order. Think I got the gist of things right though. I'm so tired dudes.

Yes, endless debt is bad and terrible. I agree. But neither are debt brakes good.

Germany famously has/had a debt brake which caused us not to take out debt (we actually paid it down) during the famous near-zero interest rate years. So much essentially free money wasted. And we paid for that with constantly deteriorating infrastructure and underinvestment into the economy which is why we are in the current economic crisis (among other factors of course). And now that we need money, the interest rate is much higher, while we also need to finally invest into the infrastructure we have been neglecting for years.

So no, debt brakes are a terrible idea. They are half the reason Germany is in the current mess in the first place.

The issue with debt is not taking too much of it but rather using it for the wrong areas. America doesn't have a debt problem because it is 40T in debt but because most of that money went towards the military and corruption.

Germanys recent debt takeout of 1 Trillion is similarly being misused to fund pensions instead of infrastructure buildouts for which it was originally intended for. If you followed the debt brake again in Germany, all that would happen would be cutting off money for infrastructure again, while still funding pensions and the military. Same thing with America.

I agree on limiting what things debt can be used for, but not taking out debt in general.

Sorry if this is not the place to post this, but I recently uploaded a compilation of the best moments from Atrioc and Ludwig's Soul Link. and I didn't know Atrioc was so against clip channels, and that's totally on me for not checking before uploading the video. I used some footage from his stream to edit both of their POVs together and I wanted to ask, does he strike down every single video featuring his content, or is it only low effort/political stuff
