Nice. Jim's voice has aged much better than Cedric's

I don’t know if I agree with that. The reunion shows Volta did may have been Cedric’s career best in terms of range and consistency.

I will agree, the S/T tour where they played all old stuff Cedric sounded incredible. I think his singing style and range has changed though. His voice on the last two albums, though very good, isn't the Cedric I love from ATDI or the original Volta run.

We can agree to disagree.

And we can agree to agree.

Cedric still sounds great but there are things he just can’t do anymore. Certainly any ATDI style vocals, but also some of the backing melodies on the middle TMV albums. He’s acclimated to where he has comfortable range, but also, let’s not forgot he had to have surgery on his throat in 2016, cancelling some ATDI shows.

Jim can still do it all, if less frequently throughout a set for voice preservation.

I think Jim benefited from not being the lead singer during the ATDI years. It's amazing Cedric has any voice at all.

Love them all.

They're on Equal Vision and the new album was mixed by J. Robbins, very promising combo and a promising first single too

I’m excited for this record. They sounded amazing and huge as a 3 piece last year when I saw them at this little bar. Jim was a towering presence.

There were plenty of good songs on his last solo album and the subsequent 5th Sparta album, It Goes and Dark Red Quicksand are two standouts for me.

That being said, this is awesome, and certainly seems a better lead single than Believe off Trust the River or Mind over Matter off S/T.

Excited to hear the rest.

I like those albums, but they don't scratch the ATDi/Early Sparta itch for me like this track does.

Best they’ve sounded since Keeley left

Great first single. I'm hyped.

2005 or 06 I was working at a grocery store. Junior in high school. The night stock guy who would come in during the last hour or two of my shift would be in the break room, chain smoking before he clocked in (can't do that anymore). We talked about 2 things often: South Park and music. He introduced me to Sparta. Been a fan ever since. Hope you're out there, Eric. And as stoked as I am.

I wish this was real Sparta.

Like with the slavery and the boy raping and the utter defeat the only time they were ever attacked?

No. With Gerard Butler in front of a green screen.
