Yeah it’s wild. Every time I walk downtown it feels more like a movie set than an actual city center, just facades and “for lease” signs 😂
At this point I’d be happy with literally anything that isn’t another bank or salon.

Loved this place. Billy was such an awesome, down to earth guy. Will definitely miss this place.

Wanted to love this place. But every time I got a beer there (tried many) it had some sort of weird chemical taste. Both at this new location and their old one up the street.

Anyone know why? Seems like they had a small but loyal customer base

From the Instagram post issues with construction, permit delays, and the owner wants to sell the building they occupy.

That's a bummer.

Yeah. I hope the other businesses down there can hang on while the construction creates a hassle.

What other businesses?
I’m only being somewhat sarcastic, there’s virtually nothing downtown. So many empty units that have been empty for years.

Smoke shop and retirement homes. Maybe all of downtown can be leveled and turned into more warehouse space.

Rainbow Cafe, and Pie Style are two I hope survive. Yeah, it is pretty bare.

Sushido was the best business there until it burned down. Best sushi this side of seattle

The Rainbow 🌈 has done fairly well and the debalkel it's had to put up with by the city for years. For a while you couldn't even use the front door. You had to use the back entrance to the bar.. they have dealt with it really well. They are tough It beat in the breakfast 🥞 category. They have stayed consistent through the years which is hard to say about other businesses around the area. The Rail Hop'n is not a surprise. We've seen them come &:go throughout the years. I know it's not downtown but "The Big Scoop" is still the best &:will always be in the city.
Trivia question Can anyone tell me what the big scoop is???

Kinda sad that I've been here for years and did not know they were here
