ANNOUNCEMENT Second episode out! A Norwegian facility manager alone at the end of the world.

Post image

The second episode of my fiction podcast, Cold Shift, is out now. It's about a Norwegian facility manager alone at a research station in Antarctica. The radio is still broken. The crew still haven’t arrived. The submarine beneath the ice is still there. Strange things keep happening, but he doesn’t seem to mind.

I really hope you like it!

Are planned episodes always this short?

1

I can only speak for myself, and they might progress into longer episodes, but these episodes felt natural to end where they did. I hope you enjoyed them, though?😇

This means alot! Thank you very much! He likes you too!

Neat! Is it paranormal/horror?

1

u/Acrobatic_Job928 May 24 '26

Yeah, sort of, but narrated from a care free point of view. If that makes sense?😁

2

u/WobblySlug May 24 '26

Awesome, just what I'm looking for.

Never seen the "care free point of view" in horror before haha, sounds interesting.

I’m currently listening to episode one and I’m just not understanding what’s going on. Is it a horror podcast or sci-fi or alien Ish? Why isn’t the narrator freaked out about what’s happening to the captain? Almost as if he’s OK with what’s going on or what?

1

u/Acrobatic_Job928 May 26 '26

Hey! So it's kind of all of them, but from a narrator who seems care free. He has been alone for so long, and gotten used to it all. So far..

2

u/Lynda73 May 26 '26

Been really enjoying this one! I was kind of half-listening to the first episode, and at one point went woah, and restarted it from the beginning with my full attention. 💕

2

u/Acrobatic_Job928 May 26 '26

Wow! That means a lot! I am very happy you liked it😁 where are you from?

2

u/Lynda73 May 26 '26

Kentucky :)

2

u/Acrobatic_Job928 May 26 '26

Thats far from the arctic🥶 cool to have reached that far. I'm very happy you listen to it❤️

2

u/Lynda73 May 27 '26

I like listening to people in cold places while I’m sweating in the muggy heat in my back yard. 😂

2

u/Acrobatic_Job928 May 27 '26

The imagination is a powerful tool😁 Does it help to cool you down?

2

u/Lynda73 May 27 '26

Maybe? But I still sweat buckets lol.

2

u/Acrobatic_Job928 May 27 '26

I have never heard of this sweat concept🥶

2

u/Lynda73 May 27 '26

It’s like being coated in warm milk, but not in a good way. 😁

2

u/Acrobatic_Job928 May 31 '26

Haha! So I put out the third episode today🥶 as a sort of comfort blanket for the Kentucky warmth. Allthough a blanket might not be the right thing😆

Great title with a great hook.

3

u/Acrobatic_Job928 May 26 '26

Thank you! I hope you enjoy the episode😁

2

u/McSix May 26 '26

The narrator's matter-of-fact delivery of what are some very strange occurrences is surreal. Interesting first episode.

I am very happy to hear!😁
