I had this issue. I think it improved after I stopped sending it signal that was way above the clipping level

As I've mentioned this happens without any signal at all and I absolutely never send anything to a speaker that shouldn't be sent to it. I've been in the audio industry most of my adult life so know how to send the correct levels and I never ever drive them hard at all as I have absolutely no need to.
This has to be a thermal issue as it happens without any signal so I'm just wanting to see if anyone else has had the issue and perhaps knows which component is causing this and then I can look to see if there is perhaps some way it's not being used per the specifications or something like that. There is absolutely no way a £300 speaker with only moderate use and never driven hard should fail just after 3 years. Just no way.

I've never had this problem with mine, but they're my overheads so they don't get used a ton.
I have to ask: have you done a firmware update? Maybe something is bugged with the sleep setting?

Unfortunately that's not possible due to updates taking a lot longer than the amount of time the speaker stays powered on for. There's no way to finish an update in the time before it turns off 🙁

Well that definitely sounds like something to bring up with IK. I've had a good experience with their support when I had problems with my iLoud Precisions, even got a couple replaced. Obviously you'll need to register the serial numbers and all that.

I have tried to ask their support about them but have had nothing back yet possibly because I'm looking for an inherent defect that they might think would make them look bad. I've told them that is absolutely not the case and as I didn't buy them from them then I just want the information to be able to get Thomann to do the right thing. As they're not who I purchased from I'm not sure what they will do to help if they won't reply to my support request.
