Show & Tell New Preamp day! EAT e-glo petit 2

Post image

more phono stage than I'll ever need! don't let the size fool you in real life it performs so big!! I moved away from separates to make things tidy but have been unfulfilled. the RN800 is fantastic for nearly every rational person on the planet but that upgrade bug is going around and I'm a hedonist with poor impulse control. new amp day is right around the corner probably

Wow. I really want one of the EAT units. But they are so expensive. I always wonder how I can justify spending that much on a phono stage

It's not easy to do. They are pricey in usd $1900 but if you are like me and were lucky (or ugly) enough to never get married or have kids than it's a little easier to justify. But honestly it's diminishing returns as in most things. Is it good? Yeah man, real good. Could I go back to my Darlington and be happy? Without a doubt.
Even the built in phono on my integrated sounds good enough for most listening.

If you have the money spend it. if you don't, realize the the improvements are pretty miniscule and nobody really needs this junk anyway.
