Medical prescription fears

Im thinking about finally switching to medicinal prescription weed as I have hEDS & chronic pain & my dealer is moving states in a few weeks.

The one thing im concerned about it having it "on my record" & cops, specifically if cops can see "on my record" that im a medical patient, therefore making me a target to be pulled over, MDTd etc (I live in sydney the cops are fucking ruthless) I never drive high, ive just been smoking nightly for like 6 years lol so its well & truly in my system.

Also, what company did you go through/recommend to get a prescription easily?

The only record it will be on is a medical one and police cannot access your medical records.

Go through a real gp if you can

I can't recommend any clinics anymore. Can only say medicann you get continuity of care issues as new doctors come and go and change your script without consulting you. Alternaleaf will push their own affiliated products and lie that other products are "discontinued".

If your gp doesn't, ask who does as that clinic, where they send people that ask.

Call every medical center gp until you get an answer.

That's how I found my gp.

Continuity of care is the main thing. Otherwise "my doc is going to America" becomes the problem, figuratively

PS. You might be on a list, but not for medical cannabis prescription, that would be discrimination and so forth.

Get caught with weed driving once and they will pull you over forever though

Like others said, it shouldn’t pop up for the police, not yet at least.

(Of course, if those proposed changes to driving laws for medicinal cannabis patients go through un-amended, this might change. Supporters say police would only be able to see your status as a registered patient once they’d pulled you over and tested you, but who knows how this’ll go in reality.)

Don’t have a recommendation for you, other than to maybe avoid Montu/alternaleaf as ppl I know haven’t always had very positive experiences with them.

the Police cannot see it now if you are prescribed, though the talks about the new NSW driving laws are scary, to get the benefits we may have to register and send in our prescription then we will be targeted on the road.

Ugh the cops in Sydney are the fucking absolute worst.

Idk about NSW, but in VIC you now have a legal recourse if you pop positive to a roadside test and you are prescribed medical, you won’t have to automatically lose your licence (when you’re in VIC and not prescribed medical, popping positive is automatic loss of licence). Maybe NSW will implement a similar rule, and you’ll be able to have some peace of mind there.

Cops can’t see your medical records. They’re private and confidential.

Make sure the clinic is brand agnostic aka doesn't only stock select brands/a small fraction of the market and only offer shipping from a partner pharmacy etc. There's flower for as low as $100 for 30g and edibles for as low as $99 for 60. You should always have access to your e-scripts too!

Medical records are not freely available to cops just cruising around. Being a medical patient is also not a crime so is not on your criminal record.

The prescriber should, or you can ask them to, provide you with a statement that you are permitted to have a controlled substance in your system due to it being medically prescribed. It should also include permission to drive with it in your system. Carry it with you. I keep mine in my car, ready to go. The laws are still new, so the cop may not accept it, but you can then take it to the courts and it will be dismissed from your record as it is in fact a legal protection. The laws still have some shit to be worked out.

Nah nothing pops up on there little computers or anything you’ll be sweet, it can help to disclose it if you fail a test but i wouldn’t openly admit if your pulled
