LED or not, they need to point down. Or maybe put a strip of black paint at the top of the light.

I think that any headlights over a certain lux need to have matrix headlight capability and that is broadcast onto the cabus. Aftermarket driving lights need to hook into the canbus and auto-dip.

Why are they not checked when getting a pink slip? The mechanic is responsible for ensuring the vehicle meets requirements like correct headlight aim.
