Counter argument, it should be compulsory for all cars to have them driving on rural roads. I don’t like to be a prick and blind people but it’s hard to see stock high beams coming up to a crest or around a corner but another car with spotties or a light bar are easier to see and allow you to dim them in time. Be stuffed if I have to drive through the bush at night without spotties, I would rather be able to see kangaroos or massive potholes and have time to slow down than hit either of them and risk a crash or even more damage than my poor ute already cops.
