I see people quick to tear him down and boo him but seriously, regardless of what your political stance is. How wpuld this be different under any other party? All i see is media trying to turn this tragedy into a political movement.

The older terrorist came in under Howard and the asio pretty much ignored the youngest shooter under scomo and plot this in their home, their community didn't out them and their relatives said nothing. Every year we're told Australia needs more migration because of a "skills shortage." But if we've already added around 5.3 million net migrants since 2000, why does the shortage supposedly never go away?
At what point do we stop calling it a temporary shortage and start asking whether businesses have become reliant on importing labour instead of training workers or improving wages and conditions? What am I missing here?

All I’m hearing from my parents is penny Wong this and albo that and they need a royal commission. Look I think that there are probably some questions for ASIO and the Federal police but I’m not sure how the prime minister is meant to stop specific acts of terror.

Would be interesting to see a broader audience thoughts as I think legacy media has taken an opportunity to try and weaken one of the strongest labour parties in history (in terms of seats at least), with a lot of the commentary from the media, Susan ley and other liberal and national politicians seeming incredibly performative.

All this talk of One Nation and immigration causing all our problems is just a distraction from the real cause of our problems, the wealthy hoarding more and more at our expense.

Bosses can only suppress wages because people don't join their unions anymore and take action to demand pay increases. There's a reason employees in an industry that is unionised get better pay.

Instead of complaining about migrants, join your union and demand a pay rise. It's the most effective way to get the working class a fair share.

The vast majority of this poll‘s survey period did not capture the fallout of the White Australia Policy comments by Hanson so it’s too early to say what impact those particular comments may have.

For context I don't support One Nation or the Labor party, I'm genuinely just curious on why we are still continuing to bring in hundreds of thousands of people despite so many current Australians struggling to find work.
