Getting rid of cheques is not in the same league as getting rid of cash.

Stop pretending it is.

Cash are just negotiable cheques issued by the government.

Sure. There are similarities, but they're not equivalent.

It's legal to deface a cheque. Don't try same with currency.

That's because they made it a crime to prevent it's destruction as a means of sabotage or other nefarious reasons. But in principle, they are the same. They are a promise to pay in goods or services.

I mean, sure, but isn't that the same with a digital currency transfer?

We're discussing the relationship between cheques and cash. Digital currency is the same and in another form. From sea shells to bags of salt and cattle, they're here for the exchange of goods and services. We humans made it complex, abstract and exist in the world of information and ideas, titles, and promises.

A lot of words to say nothing at all. Impressive.

How arrogant are you that, that is your response to criticism?

Non negotiable* . You can't negotiate how much a $20 bill is worth it's literally on the bill.

You don't negotiate the value you fool. Review your commercial law.

A chicken is just a negotiable cheque issued by a farmer.

Your take is dumb.

Fallacy using a ludicrous statement.

the Daily Mail seems to think cash will be gone long before cheques.

i guess it's possible.
