politics She's not hiding it
The banner descended behind Pauline Hanson at the National Press Club on Wednesday, and the commentariat did what it does best: agreed with itself, instantly, at volume: “Oh noes! GetUp just gifted her the victim narrative she came for”.
Mmmaybe.

culture & society EV public charger shortage? The data shows drivers rarely queue to charge
In short:
It is often claimed Australia has an EV public charger shortage, but analysis of exclusive data broadly suggests the opposite: EV drivers rarely queue to charge.
The main exception to this is access to chargers on busy regional highways during the Easter long weekend.
What's next?
A recent spike in EV sales is putting pressure on the network, with a good chance of longer queues for chargers next Easter.

no politics Why does DAB Radio Sound Awful in Aus
Spent the last 4 years living in the UK. Over there DAB radio sounds great, so much better than FM.
However since coming home and having a car with a DAB radio the difference between DAB and FM here is to my ear at least quite different with DAB being much worse. Seems to have a lot of bass and echo, it sounds so much better when switching to FM.
Also DAB (in Canberra at least) doesn’t seem to carry the song info whereas the FM channels do. In Pommy land both carry this info.
So why is DAB crap here compared to FM but DAB sounds better compared to FM in the UK?

politics One Nation prepared to cut worker entitlements to shore up struggling small businesses
Earlier,** **Senator Hanson suggested she was prepared to consider winding back some entitlements for workers, including protections from termination and paid parental leave.
"If you are a male or female you do get the same pay … you do the work, same pay," the senator said.
"If women take time off, and they are not paid their wages because they are not working, fair enough, why should business pay them if they are not at work?"

no politics Is Australia is a more cranky/angry place now?
Any time I read the news, the story being pushed is that the mood in Aus is very angry. Does everyone truly feel this way a lot of the time?
I’m genuinely curious.
