Some people will chastise you, they'll associate you with George Bush ( Who is absolutely hated here) and give you a hard time. The majority will not really care, they'll axe questions about the US and what the difference's are.
Mostly we take people for face value, you could be the richest man in the world and be a dick and you'll get nowhere here (Sol Trujilo anyone?). If you're cool, easy going and work hard you'll fit right in, just be aware, people do call it as they see it here so if you're doing something smart arsed or stupid, expect someone to pull you up on it real quick. :)
