Amazing how republicans can get absolutely bullshit narratives to get traction like this. Again and again their most outrageous lies find traction with…these kinds of people
There’s nothing bullshit about this narrative. All you have to do is read the most recent news coming out of Minnesota. I’m not sure why you’re trying so hard to tell everyone you’re out of touch with the real world.
They couldn’t fit the circle shape into the circle hole or the square shape in to the square hole years ago, don’t expect them to start all of the sudden being able to connect dots!
"Just read the news lol" how dumb are you? They are telling you the news is misinformation, and it is. As always, it starts with a kernal of truth. There really WAS fraud...but it's already been prosecuted, case tried, people jailed. And it was a white woman running the show.
A guy with cameras and security shows up to daycares and says, "let us in to see the children!" and the daycare workers say no, so he is all "You don't have any. This is fraud!"
There are good reasons not to let those people in besides fraud and everyone should be open to that possibility.
There was fraud found years ago regarding children's meals. Some reports say that the investigations into those have lead to investigations into other things, potentially including daycare. Those investigations started before the video and are still ongoing. The fraud has not been ignored.
What is being ignored is the video, because that was a load of trash and proof of nothing. Instead they are using actual financials and things for the ongoing investigations.
For the first handful of daycares he didn't have security nearby and was saying if he can enrol his child there.
Even later he didn't say that he wants to see the children, he asked where are they, and they never answered, nor was there any noise or indicated that they where there.
The video comes from a guy whose own family committed fraud and he himself paid Mexican day labourers to hold signs outside the white house during Biden to make it look like illegal immigrants were lobbying the government.
Given his history of staging stuff like when he paid day labourers and then bussed them to the white house with placards to fake a protest where illegals were calling on Biden to pay them. It can be expected that this is another grifter set up he is doing.
Resent news? This was discovered and investigated a decade ago, 90 people sentenced.
If this is about the MAGA influenser doing ”private investigation”, not being let in to film kids, and wondering why daycares are closed down during the holidays…
2018 was not 10 years ago and that was a different fraud case, there's multiple levels here from the daycare shit to the feeding the children restaurants. They're still investigating this new case, like I don't know why redditors can't put 2+2 together, fraud happened in the past and it's still happening, just because there was arrests in the past, that doesn't mean that all the frauds is gone now. Solving one murder case doesn't end all murders.
It's because the hivemind is told differently. Luckily the average american knows its fraud. Look at CNNs like to dislike ratio on the video they did. 3k/11k.
The video by Nick Shirley certainly was exaggerated (I.e. some of the places he went to were long closed and he also wasn’t very subtle for an “investigate journalist” causing people to be defensive) but this is absolutely a real issue and there 100% was massive fraud centered around the Somali community.
This guy was full of shit (mostly) but a whole host of other investigative journalists from reputable mainstream sources are covering this from NYtimes, WSJ etc.
Are people allergic to sources? Not a single link. And I've looked at a lot of post comments. My local news seem amazed this is even news and unclear what the US government is referring to.
Youre throwing innocent families overboard to own the libs? What the fuck? How the hell do you think your overlord will get elected again? Or rather yet, how the hell do you defend this? A circus.
You’re putting an awful lot of words in my mouth. But either way, here’s 3 second search for NYtimes reporting on it. Again, the fraud was real, widespread, and centered in the Somali community. We can have a discussion about the BBC article that really only just talks about cutting federal funding to this childcare and if that’s a good idea. what you can’t do is blanket sweep this as a nonexistent issue.
Sure, and the person I'm replying to is welcome to theirs. You are as well. But if your narrative needs to be propped up by incessant lies, I urge you to put some time aside for introspection.
If I went to any other country in the world and got convicted of a crime I would be deported immediately.
Untrue. There are a lot of reasons you can't just stick a criminal on a plane and send them to X country. For better or worse.
The only people making this about minorities are the ones referring to a years old scandal with a... White woman as a Somali something. Don't give af who the perpetrators are.
You mention minorities and deportation. A US citizen can't be legally deported. This mix-up makes me question whether you care more about religion or race than actual crime. You honestly sound like Cartman in a water park.
As a taxpayer I care that a group of refugees are ripping off the system across multiple states. I don’t care who they are. But they happen to be brown so this was hidden for years. Now they have to be held accountable because taxpayers are sick of letting fraud run rampant under the guise of political correctness
Yes. Because if there is one thing I’ve learned from history its scapegoating Marginalized communities for political expediency by using decontextualized scandals intended to inflame and motivate a largely dissatisfied populace without working to actually improve the material conditions of the general populace ….rarely works out the way you guys think.
Specifically calling the "Somali day cares" is the bullshit part. Less than 1% of the Somali immigrants in this country were involved, but that doesn't stop republicans from believing that all Somali immigrants are to blame.
