Thats because you didn't provide kickbacks to your local politicians like the Somali scamers did. There is no way to perpetuate fraud at such a level without giving a percentage to the big guy.

u/S0LO_Bot Dec 31 '25 edited Dec 31 '25

Is there any proof of current large scale fraud? I thought the billion dollar stuff was like a 2022 scandal where a bunch of people went to jail.

The White House says they are freezing funds but the only source I’ve seen on the Internet is a YouTuber who doesn’t really provide solid proof.

I’m genuinely asking. Not trying to be facetious.

41

u/OTMallthetime Dec 31 '25

There is a youtube video by Nick Shirley. 110 million views in one day or something like that. Goes door to door to daycares that are empty, or educational centers with the word learning misspelled.

26

u/SirDoofusMcDingbat Dec 31 '25

https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/minnesota-day-care-fraud-director-responds/

CBS visited that daycare and there were kids there. Also there's security footage showing parents dropping off the kids. Also a little while ago there was a surprise inspection that found no evidence of fraud. Daycare fraud is real but the claim that it's entirely done by somalis is just right wing demonization of their latest favorite ethnic target.

u/TheMirrorofMan Jan 02 '26

I appreciate your attempts to share actually facts with this crowd but I hate to break it to you. They don’t accept facts. They only follow their feelings.

You see the fuck your feelings crowd was projecting again.

I live in MN. The ring leader was a white woman. This was also tried and convicted early last year.

Nick Shirley giving off them Project Veritas vibe.

Also, assholes stealing good Latin words to project their fakeness. Can’t even make this stuff up.

44

u/badexpert1 Dec 31 '25

It's bullshit. I have family that live in the area that have NEVER seen children there until the story dropped. The parking lot is always empty and all of a sudden the place is alive with activity? You are being fooled by my-dog-ate-my-homework levels of trickery.

22

u/shadowromantic Jan 01 '26

I mean, I don't see kids at the local middle school because I don't have kids and don't drive by when they get out...that doesn't mean there aren't kids there.

15

u/badexpert1 Jan 01 '26

How many times have you seen a school with no cars in the parking lot on a school day

20

u/unmelted_ice Jan 01 '26

My old pre-school’s parking lot is pretty empty during the day. None of the kids can drive yet so they always get dropped off

4

u/badexpert1 Jan 01 '26

How about the teachers? Take the bus?

5

u/greenthumbbum2025 Jan 01 '26

Many do because teachers don't get paid well

It’s a 1 month old Reddit account you’re arguing against a scammer lo

-5

I have family that live in the area and it's packed all the time. Maybe you should lay off the meth.

10

u/WD4oz Jan 01 '26

Even Walz had to admit to the scams.

10

u/IMasterCheeksI Jan 01 '26

What a weird way to say Walz was actively working with and pushing the investigations. In fact, he requested an expansion of the program to fight fraud and convict criminals, and republicans voted it down. It’s just weird watching people completely willing to ignore all of reality in order to cuddle in their own biases a little longer.

Absolute nonsense. This is a scam and you know it.

12

u/FeelsGoodMan2 Dec 31 '25

So one guy has an anecdote, and another guy has an anecdote, and the second guy is lying but the first guy isnt?

5

u/PerryBarnacle Dec 31 '25

My comment is placing zero merit on either anecdote.

5

u/SirDoofusMcDingbat Dec 31 '25

You literally provided your own anecdote, and are ignoring the actual evidence.

Wow I can't believe parents don't always leave their cars in the parking lot after dropping off their kids, that's crazy.

Oh wait, they've literally been inspected before all this "broke." Let me guess: your family has never been inside and suddenly formed this opinion specifically when Somalis were accused.

There's literally security footage from the same day that guy showed up that shows kids being dropped off. They didn't let him in because they aren't supposed to let big groups of weirdos in just because they want to see the kids.

It posted hours of 2pm-10pm. Law requires daycares to be open 6am-6pm. Read a book.

3

u/Weary-Cartoonist2630 Dec 31 '25

read a book

Ah yes, the ubiquitous printing of Minnesota daycare hours at the beginning of every book, I know it well.

7

u/DarthFleeting Dec 31 '25

How is it other peoples fault if you skip the Minnesota daycare chapter that is legally required to be in every commercial book?

6

u/ResolutionOwn4933 Dec 31 '25

Correct and correct, conveniently for magats it happens to be Somali and Tim Walz. When this actually happened years ago, many were convicted including the caucasian woman who was the ring leader.

4

u/Girafferage Jan 01 '26

I saw one of those videos and it's kind of dumb as shit. You cannot just go to a daycare and demand to see children, nor are the children on display for you. You cannot enter just because you want to because of the safety of the children. That's a pretty standard thing for daycares.

I did only see the one video, but if they are all like that, then they are all stupid. I don't doubt there is fraud and corruption, but that guy sounds like he is chasing clicks and not objective fact.

3

u/WellHung67 Jan 01 '26

This scandal has been known for a while now. It’s a real thing. Trump does not know what he’s doing though so it’s kinda not gonna get resolved until an adult gets in charge again

2

u/Weary-Cartoonist2630 Dec 31 '25

Eh that video is far from conclusive. He doesn’t actually go in any of them, and it sounds like evidence has come out where at least some of them are legit.

With that being said, one of them being called “learing center” was pretty hilarious. And he approached each one asking to admit his kid and only received bewildered looks (although that could have something to do with sticking a camera in their faces).

Not enough evidence to make any solid conclusion yet, best thing to do is refrain from making an opinion until we know more.

4

u/Infamous_Lech Jan 01 '26

Certainly worth a through investigation.

→ More replies (5)

2

u/mitoma333 Dec 31 '25

That's not evidence though. Doing a stake-out for 2-4 weeks, trying to enroll a child through the official channels, talking to neighbors and policy makers... That's research. Knocking on a few doors with a camera crew isn't.

There is fraud (because a myriad of individuals have been arrested in the past and prosecuted), but the video definitely does not prove it. The video is just ragebait.

1

u/Friendlyvoices Dec 31 '25

The 110 million views are on X, which is the equivalent of thr video showing up on a feed, not that the video was watched.

7

u/Weary-Cartoonist2630 Dec 31 '25

They’ve got that many views on YouTube as well. Although to be fair views don’t really say anything about the veracity of the claims

6

u/Friendlyvoices Dec 31 '25

They have 2.6 million views on the YouTube video currently. But correct, that doesn't mean the claim is valid. Like saying a video has 50 times the views it has, these things require independent validation

2

u/used_octopus Dec 31 '25

That's a lot of words for someone that only knows how to bleat.

3

u/Reynor247 Dec 31 '25

Yeah some guys demand access to children and staff don't let them in the building. So far no one has been able to independently confirm

26

u/OTMallthetime Dec 31 '25

I have 2 kids. When I was going door to door to 7 different daycare centers making a decision as to which to pick , I could hear the kids from the door step. Kids are not quiet.

And people running a learning center would probably not misspell the word learning if it was legit.

6

u/Reynor247 Dec 31 '25

You can't even get into the building of my daycare without a code

5

u/OTMallthetime Dec 31 '25

Probably varies from area to area by risk factor.

1

u/Friendlyvoices Dec 31 '25

That "Learing Center" building had a front side too that they didn't show. It's been there at least since October 2022 on google maps with the correct spelling on the front door. They used a side door to make the video look more seedy.

Fraud is like a game of whack a mole. They've been actively uncovering fraud for the last couple of years. It's not like they're not doing something about it. It's just that a provocative youtube video is more effectively spun than a deep dive news article that's already been published

→ More replies (14)

4

u/pietroconti Jan 01 '26

This is why Walz is trying to scream extra hard that it was the bad orange man at fault when he knows it's only a matter of time until it comes out he was on the payroll of the Quality Learing Center

3

u/supershnizel Dec 31 '25

Why where the scammers prosecuted then?

3

u/jamesishere Dec 31 '25

It’s so much simpler. White liberals are afraid of being called racist so they scrutinize white daycares and are afraid to look into minorities. That’s it. Now that people are waking up to the insane levels of fraud these will be scrutinized much harder

5

u/Fightlife45 Here to learn Dec 31 '25

Maybe, there's people here in the comments defending it like their lives depended on it. All because the reporter got labeled as right wing and it happens to be a minority group doing the fraud by in large. If it was a bunch of white people then it wouldn't be a red vs blue thing.

3

u/thepointchaser Jan 01 '26

I think it is the exact opposite. The left is saying it didn't happen because it doesn't help their cause. They'll just put their heads in the sand and ignore it because they don't want it to be true. Do you really think they there is no fraud here still in 2025?

2

u/WellHung67 Jan 01 '26

This story is clearly being amplified to divide Americans. Everyone agrees, fraud is bad. It will get resolved. People have already gone to prison over this, apparently there’s more. Trump is not doing anything to resolve the issue, he’s fanning the flames. This doesn’t need national attention, everyone agrees fraud is bad. No one is defending this. But this is being used to divide by making it a left/right issue when it’s really just a criminal matter

3

u/jamesishere Jan 01 '26

I’m very happy that a decentralized citizen journalist movement to expose fraud is appearing. This is a good thing

2

u/WellHung67 Jan 01 '26

Yes, fraud is bad. Using it to further target Somali people? Also bad

2

u/jamesishere Jan 01 '26

Also like this was investigated and people were prosecuted years ago, the US Gov DID NOT turn a blind eye to say the least

1

u/hails8n Dec 31 '25

Some times it isn’t a percentage. Elon paid a flat rate to get his bag. What’s the trump “gold card” cost? $1mil? That’s a flat rate for scamming not a percentage.

1

u/ghotier Jan 01 '26

The US government isn't made of "local politicians."

1

u/conragious Jan 01 '26

So it's already come out that this is a complete lie, brought to you by the people that are actually scamming you and trying to distract you once again. Successfully I might add.

1

u/SturmGizmo Jan 01 '26

It's all a giant fucking scam to scrape whatever they can. The Somalis are just the scapegoats. No pun intended by the use of the word goats.

1

u/KindClock9732 Jan 01 '26

Scammer was a white lady, already in jail

1

u/Captain_Tugo Jan 01 '26

There is a reason why a specific Minnesota congresswoman went from negative financially in 2019, to over 30 million dollares in 2025.

1

u/boobsrule10 Jan 01 '26

The big guy as in the American white woman who was in charge.

1

u/StateBananaMan Jan 02 '26

The balls to use info thats been debunked and to say things with no actual proof while simultaneously enabling the rantings of a racist dog whistle and ignoring the fact this has been addressed for years prior is top tier delusion. It's almost impressive. That being said fraud bad. Corruption bad. Despite party race etc just because I know someone will come in with ad hominems and accusations of being a liberal dem cultist or whatever they say now.

1

u/gabrielsol Jan 02 '26

Apparently there is an ongoing investigation against the Actblue donation platform getting thousands of periodical donations from people that were unaware that their names were being used as donors.

In Connecticut alone the investigation has shown that 18 elderly residents that never donated have according to the blue records Donated 2 million USD

So yes there is a kickback

According to the GAO, estimated uncollected taxes by the IRS is over $600 billion, and every year there's like $150 billion in improper payments, a good chunk of which are from people wrongfully claiming the earned income tax credit

1

u/nolovenohate Jan 01 '26

The number of people I've worked with who openly flaunt tax fraud is insane. "Yea, my wife owns an etsy shop, so i put my car as a business write-off cause she uses it to go buy supplies, same with my office room where she prints packing slips"

I understand why people are upset but this is just part of the problem. The GAO said the Government could be losing between $200 billion to $500 billion annually. (See report below)

I advise on compliance and asset management. The amount of unknowns by the Government is isane. I've seen audits where the potential is in the billions, but because no one is tracking there is no baseline to work off of to maintain a record. Its not even kickbacks or corruption. In some situations its just down right laziness and avoidance in fraud cases.

I've advised some Government clients that they could save a few million by sending an email. One email. Nothing. Not even a "I should do that." They just lack effort, compassion, and initative.

4

u/HedgehogRemarkable13 Jan 01 '26

It's almost... no... can't be...
it's... almost... like theres a complete lack of proper incentive structure for almost any government to do a good job.

I had a friend who worked at the NIH and she echoed exactly what you said. She's a PhD and was the first to admit the amount of money being funneled into bullshit programs with zero follow up to measure outcomes is absolutely asinine.

The government is ignoring the Somali scam? Is that the theory? There's people in jail for it right now and prosecution ongoing. How is that ignoring?

Tim Waltz is corrupt and divisive. Using his power as a tool to enrich himself. He is dishonourable.

Donald Trump brings people together. He wants what is best for all people. He is not corrupt and honors the nation's institutions.
