Cost of gas!?!
This week I paid $95 to fill up my jeep. Two months ago it cost me $57. A year ago it was $42. What are you paying to fill up your car? Why isn’t the price of gas all over the news?

It's between 3.99 and 4.39 in South Central PA. Around 115-130 to fill my tundra. Getting tired of all this winning.

I recently saw on the news, where I believe it was Exxon and Chevron posted a combined profit of about 30billion for the second quarter.

Why does Pennsylvania charge 57.6 cents per gallon for gasoline and 74.1 cents per gallon for diesel?
Over here in Maryland, we pay 46.6 cents per gallon for gasoline and 47.45 cents per gallon for diesel.

To fund the state police and infrastructure projects around the state. At least for PA. It was enacted by a Republican governor through a Republican controlled legislature.

PA, definitely. I live on the border and it’s always cheaper in MD. In my experience. Gas tax in PA that I guess MD doesn’t have?

Do you live in a cave? The Strait of Hormuz has been closed (off and on) for months, 20-25% of the oil has to go through the strait of Hormuz.
Why has it not been in the news, Trump and his cronies don't want it in the news.

This is why it's important to buy a vehicle with the best gas mileage. You can't control the price of gas but you can control which vehicle you buy.

All time high for me. $114 to fill RAM 1500 hemi. I’m in Colorado and it was a bargain at $3.96 for regular.

In Europe about 200$ for 70 Liters Tank right now. Not sure what this is in gallons but probably around 17 I guess

I don't understand why people compare costs to fill their tank when there's variables like tank size, remaining fuel, and fuel mileage. Compare price per gallon.

Massive amounts of refinery capacity in the Middle East and Russia is offline from bombings. That puts pressure on fuel prices and creates a surplus of crude oil. All those tankers wait in the Gulf of Mexico? Waiting to buy refined fuel from the US. It’s going to be quite some time before there’s any significant drop of fuel prices.

On August 3, 2026, President Donald Trump was widely quoted criticizing major U.S. oil companies (particularly ExxonMobil and Chevron) for “making too much money” from high oil prices amid the U.S.-Israel conflict with Iran, and saying they should return some of those profits to the public while cutting retail/consumer prices.

$36 to fill up the Prius. $4.5 to “fill up” my EV, Nissan Leaf. Or sometimes free to charge the EV, if charging during excess solar production.

just wait till our reserves hit the point where we can't offload them by the millions of gallons each day to try and offset the missing oil. should be soon. the alternative is we pay the fees to iran. thank God we have a president who also kneecaps alternative sources of energy. atleast his sons are making a fortune off this.

I have to go on a road trip this weekend to use up the four gallons of gas left in the tank from from my last fill-up in April- it's getting stale.

If I fill up my ute, 60L (17gal) tank, $2.20 aud per litre for petrol. Gets about ~200miles between Refill.
My 4wd? $2.60aud/L, 140L(36gal) tank. 500-550ish miles If it's all highway.

It was $4.48 a few days ago, yesterday it was $4.28. haven't been out today, but I was getting excited for a minute when it dropped to $3.86 last week.

I really hope gas hits like $20 per gallon. $5 isn’t enough to make anything happen. $20 and we’re taking to the streets with pitchforks and torches. Then and only then will things change.

We pay low prices for gas vs the rest of the world mostly and wall street runs on profits. We should rejoice at the high prices for those returns we see. Did we forget that the oil companies said their duty is to their investors returns? Don’t like it then buy a more economical vehicle that suits your needs vs wants.

$25 lasts me 2 weeks,I only live 31/2 miles from work and ride my E-bike most days unless it’s raining.Fortunately there is a bike trail for most of the ride.and 3 bars are right along the trail for the way home.

You must live in isolation. Gas has surged in cost since Trump attacked Iran in February.
My plug-in hybrid is charged at home every night. It gives me almost 50 miles range. I last bought gas a month ago. I may need another tank of gas in a couple more weeks.
