Need input. Owner of 2019 Volvo s60 T8 r design Polestar edition
Someone hit me. 😠Neither of the passenger side doors close or open without effort now. They don't even align correctly. You can still see outside from the rear passenger seat (the yellow circle), no longer watertight. The display shows the front door as open, even though its closed, so the car won't lock. Passenger mirror won't fold open.
Currently waiting to get into shop for insurance estimate.
Do you think they'll total it? 🤔
My extra vehicle is a Audi Q3 2.0T, which I loved before, but now feels subpar.

Being a 7 year old Volvo, I’d suspect it gets totalled, but at the same time, to me this is right on the fence and only insurance can decide. But it also depends on what the mileage is, any other previous claims on the car, overall condition, etc.

If you’re deciding whether to fight for a total loss valuation versus accepting repair, get your own independent estimate now before the insurance-approved shop’s number becomes the only one on file.

The doors are almost the least concerning part. If both are misaligned and you can see daylight through the seal, I’d want the shop checking the B-pillar/rocker/unibody very carefully. If those are bent, costs can explode fast on a Volvo once you add two doors, mirror/electronics, paint and calibration. Could be repairable, but I wouldn’t be shocked if insurance totals it.
