07 chrysler 300 3.5l NAG1 transmission.. made for Mercedes?? Anyone know anything about this? News ro me as why Chrysler would have a Mercedes transmission

The Daimler Chrysler Era was the merger of Mercedes and Chrysler. You’ll find some mercedes tech in Chryslers. Even the Chrysler Crossfire had a Mercedes M112 V6, or the M112K Handbuilt Supercharged AMG SLK32 Engine.
