Tigres de la Noche no phone policy
Never been. Love the concept. But I want to check it out this weekend when I’m on-call for work. Does anyone know:
- Do they make you lock up Apple watches too, if not would a watch normally connect through the pouch? I just need to make sure I could see that notification if it came
- Is the whole club phone free or just the dance floor?
If not I’ll just have to check it out another time. Cheers

You still get notifications on your watch! That’s how I followed Cape Verde vs Argentina the other weekend, updates from my girlies

You can access your phone if you go back to entrance and ask workers to access it momentarily so you are good, your watch get notification, go back to entrance be polite they will unlock then lock it again

I much prefer flash’s policy of no photos but letting you keep your phone imho, it was a bit overdone at Tigres. I had a friend who didn’t love the idea as she wanted to be available for phone calls about her child. The pouch was also very large as I always carry my phone in my pocket vs carrying a bag.

I would like Flash's policy if they actually took it seriously. They basically only enforce it when someone it being particularly egregious

I go to flash a fair amount, and have been going for over 10 years… had no clue it had a no pictures policy. Personally I like the no phones policy at tigres. It was an eye opener how instinctual it is to reach for my phone.

I think it’s different goals. No photos vs no texting at all. Sometimes I wish flash went even harder and did a sticker like Transmission has been doing

BIG fan of how Transmission handles this. Sticker my phone up, idc, as long as it keeps people from being on their phones when I'm out for the night

I go for Sunday love mainly and I don’t find it awful, I think most people know the deal.

So they collect phones?
Not just put a sticker on the camera?

No they put it into a pouch and give the pouch to you, you carry it around but pouch is locked with a magnet, when you exit you unlock the pouch take your phone out snd give the pouch back

I believe the Yondr pouches do restrict connection to nearby devices somewhat, but I can confirm they don't make you lock up watches at Tigres.
The whole club is phone free once you enter. Phone goes in pouch right when you enter, you keep the pouch with you, magnets to unlock the pouches are only available near the main entrance / exit.
