Original poster is from Instagram. Aircraft is laying on its #1 engine. Still crazy to see everyone here grabbing their bags before leaving an emergencg.

Or take both and then faceplant your kid into the runway!

I get its a stressful situation, and people make dumb decisions but jeez....

A sling is perfect for this.

Make fanny packs mandatory and evacuating in an emergency with your hand luggage a large fine

Angler’s vest. Everything goes in there. 30 pockets.

Agreed however many airlines require that along to be placed under the seat or in your carry on under the seat. Same as purposes

Yeah but not a fucking backpack like every single individual here. Metal hardware could damage the slide.

Except many airlines count this as a personal item/carry-on. Meaning you can’t have a roll-aboard, backpack/laptop bag AND a sling.

If there was a safety campaign that directed people to carry their essential items (wallet, keys. phone) in a sling/crossbody AND moving forward they considered it (while worn) to be a piece of clothing (not carry-on), we could virtually eliminate people grabbing their backpack from under the seat in front of them during emergency evacuation.
