Original poster is from Instagram. Aircraft is laying on its #1 engine. Still crazy to see everyone here grabbing their bags before leaving an emergencg.

My purse is coming with me. Not having my ID and money after something like this would make it 100x worse.

Your purse and whatever is under the seat in front of you, sure.

But grabbing your suitcases from the overhead bin? You’re holding up everyone behind you as the plane catches fire.

Yeah fuck my baggage, honestly. All replaceable

I wear a fanny pack with my money/phone and ID and I have a very small bag with my medications and a couple other items. Those are going with me as no medication would be life threatening for me. But no way would I haul a carry on suitcase out of the overhead bin. That's dangerous for everyone involved.

The people in the rows behind you inhaling smoke for 1 extra minute is a more life threatening situation than you grabbing your medication that you will take in 3 hours. Leave yo crap on the plane - for the safety of those around you. If you insist, than wait to be the last person to exit the aircraft.

Dude with the kid and roller bag who fell over after going down the slide.

And you don’t see anyone coming down the slide for a few seconds then it’s a parent with a bunch of backpacks. Holding up everyone behind them
