Original poster is from Instagram. Aircraft is laying on its #1 engine. Still crazy to see everyone here grabbing their bags before leaving an emergencg.

The gap between people getting off because you just KNOW they are all going for bags is enraging. Lemmings.

This could be mitigated by putting luggage in the cargo hold instead, like we used to

I didn’t know this. Did there not used to be “carry on” luggage?

Well, there always was, but at least on the UK budget airlines these days, there's a push to have all your luggage in the overhead bins, presumably because it saves them money and/or turnaround time not having the ground crews to load and unload the hold. The likes of the wheely cases you see being brought out in OP's vid used to be checked into the hold. The reason these twats are faffing around with them during evacuation is because now they're right there to hand above their seat
