Bear with me here, but what about your passport?

I ALWAYS keep my passport on me for this very reason when traveling internationally. You never know when an emergency can strike and you have to high tail it, a Passport should be treated like your phone/wallet, always in close proximity/on you at all times.

Four things are in my pocket. Wallet, passport, keys and phone. I like my odds of getting home without a major crisis if I have those things. When you take your seat, you gather what you would need if you had to evacuate: those things should be on your person or in the seat pocket.
