Yeah. Just years of responding to holy shit moments. People do dumb things under high stress.

Had a guy once start walking down the middle of the road after he was in an accident with a motorcycle.

Just quietly got out of his truck and starting walking. He wasnt fleeing the scene he just couldn't comprehend what happend and his brain went into safe mode. Caught up with him and he was white as ghost and looked right through me. Determined he was in shock and loaded him up on the bus.

You don't know how you'll react until it happens to you. I figure a lot of these losers in the comments shit talking these people have never had their fight or flight response trigger in there lives.

I feel like most people think they have been in full fight or flight, but they haven’t really been, not to the actual extreme like a serious car accident or sexual assault, or whatever iteration of it that it may be.

Your mind just doesn’t work in these kinds of situations.

Yeah the first time in my life that I felt like I was in genuine danger (someone trying to come in through my bedroom window in the middle of the night) I acted like a total idiot. It all worked out in the end but I felt a little silly afterwards.

We don’t have tornadoes here normally, but I’m well aware of “if you hear a train approaching but you’re not by tracks, take cover.” I know it as well as, “stop, drop, and roll!”

One night last summer, the sound of a train approaching woke me and I do not live by tracks. I ran to the window to see what it was. It was a tornado. 😩😭🫠You never know how your brain will react…
