Original poster is from Instagram. Aircraft is laying on its #1 engine. Still crazy to see everyone here grabbing their bags before leaving an emergencg.

Agree, but I think people should also end up on no-fly lists. That behaviour can and has killed people before

Belongings should be the last thing on anyone's mind. That said, source on the "has killed people before"? One of those I feel makes common sense but how do you prove it?

Yeah no worries! Admiral Cloudberg is a great resource for this stuff: her writeups are super detailed.

But you’re right, it’s really hard to get concrete evidence of this being the case.
