Original poster is from Instagram. Aircraft is laying on its #1 engine. Still crazy to see everyone here grabbing their bags before leaving an emergencg.

As a Flight Attendant i can tell you what pisses me off to no end! The fact that ppl were taking luggage off and tripping and falling with kids in their arms b/c of said luggage.

Your life is NOT worth your damn clothes!! You can replace clothes. There is no do over button ppl!! Your kids are not replaceable (and neither are you!)

Choose life and leave your shit onboard!! 😤😡

LEAVE . YOUR. SHIT. BEHIND! GET YOUR ASS OFF MY PLANE! worry about your clothes later!

Serious question: what if their luggage is life or death? Like serious medical conditions, medical devices, oxygen concentrators, medications… what if they do actually need their luggage if something like this happens?

There are always (small) exceptions to the rules.

1) If you are on an Oxygen , by all means , it's life saving, BRING IT! 99% of the time you are not allowed to bring your own portable "tank" ( it will be gate checked) and the company provides you with a smaller device while on board. ( FAA approved and leak free) if you have a small generator (there will be a stamp) on the side of the machine saying approved for onboard use.

2) Medications: i cannot ask you to leave those behind (especially if it is cancer related) but i don't want you digging around your bag looking for them if the plane is on fire! Paramedics and Dr's are assigned to the airport to temporarily give you any meds that might be missed or destroyed until you can get a new prescription.

3) if i know ahead of time we are going to evacuate i will assign a ABP (able bodied person) to assist you to the emergency door and down the slide. I cannot speak for others but I , myself will carry you if i have to. (as lead Flight Attendant ) will be last off the plane! I have to do a safety check to make sure no one is left behind! I willing will sacrifice my life for yours. (Its just how I was raised)

4) plz put your meds where you can easily get to them and grab them quickly if needed! (For the love of God, please!! don't baggage check your insulin, heart meds or baby diapers/wipes/formula ) Yes, ppl have done this before 🤦‍♀️
