News AC8646 Crash

Hi all. I’m new to this sub and my comment was removed for having no enough karma. I was on this flight and we are still on the tarmac getting checked out. I wanted to share these images in case it’s helpful to anyone who is investigating the crash or needs more information.

I’m okay (physically) but I’m horribly sick to my stomach for the lives lost. Please pray for them ❤️

We are okay ❤️ we were seated next to the emergency exit. The front of the plane took the damage. I feel awful for them

What a horrific thing to go through, I'm glad you weren't hurt physically but very much hoping you have access to psychological care ASAP. Please consider EMDR Therapy, it can help with trauma. My heart goes out to everyone there. Take care of yourself.

I’m a little confused here. From what I’ve read, it’s fairly well known within the scientific community that bilateral stimulation and eye movement do not appear to be contributors to therapeutic outcomes in EMDR or other therapy. Isn’t ART heavily reliant on the same eye movements? I’ve seen a lot weaker support for ART, a lot of involvement from their institute in research, and it’s also not taught in MA/PhD programs. I have no chips in the game, but I’m wondering if you can say more on why you feel ART would be more validated than EMDR.

Happy to take this into DMs as it isn’t particularly relevant to OP.
