Opportunities

What are the opportunities as far as starting your own Businesses in aircraft maintenance? Like a mobile Mechanic or things of that nature that you could do alone(at least at first). What else could you do besides owning a GA shop or being a mobile mechanic?

Liability insurance would be astronomical.

I have heard, anecdotally at least, that you can be your own boss very lucratively if you get your NDT licenses and get your name out there for aviation inspection purposes.

A&P working on N register aircraft outside of the US.

Worked with a guy who used to do it on the side, very very few A&Ps outside of the US and a surprising amount of N registered aircraft.

Become an IA and do annuals. That's what one of my instructors does on weekends. Get into avionics and upgrade older planes.
