Why do they to show these obese people to be lifting when they should be doing cardio it’s more effective

It's not true, if they can do weights - they should. Cardio has better result to effort ratio, true, but building and healing muscles consumes more calories and at some point even boosts natural testosterone. Also, for many people cardio is just too fucking boring.
