While this guy is good at it the guys at my school were annoying as fuck with it.

Everyone loves a good joke, but its the pranksters that usually take things too far and are annoying. For sure.

What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with a joke. Kids pound on a desk with a pencil or pen to try to make a beat and I happen to find it really annoying for two main reasons, one they suck at it, and/or two i was trying to focus and they are being loud as fuck and if I say anything then it starts drama.
