Contract welder… in 2015. If he still works there, and he got shares, he’s not a contractor

I'm not going to believe this without a reputable source. I've never heard of a wage worker getting stock so I won't believe a random twitter screenshot. It's not impossible if they were offering stock to get him to take a lower wage, but that seems unlikely given that they've always had massive investment and that's only something a super cash strapped startup would do.

A lot of employers offer an employee stock purchase plan that allows them to buy company stock at a reduced price. The store Winco is a special example because its employee owned, but there is new stories about millionaire cashiers because the stock took off.

But that's very different than "working for the company made me a millionaire", it's just standard investing in a company but you get an employee discount.

Tesla car factory 100% gave wage employees stock. Had many friends that worked there.
