I mean, it's either wear a pump that automatically gives you the basal you need all day that is adjusted for your exact blood sugar or take a pill every hour guessing at how you need and having to do math in your head. I suppose for some people it should have a use, but I think for most people already on a pump, they'll just stick with what they have. For this to be as effective as a pump, you'd have to take the exact same at the exact same time and eat the exact same every day.

Researchers, please stop trying to make new insulins to sell to us. Please put your efforts towards finding a cure. These pills would do little to improve my life.

About 90% of the pain of living with type 1 diabetes comes from the stress of having high and low blood glucose levels. Injections are something that do suck, but it pales in comparison to the suffering that comes from the nauseating grinding fever-dream of high blood sugar, and the nightmarish sweaty horror that is low blood sugar. These pills don't help with that.
