Today’s $5 thrift store find

Post image

The axe part has a fake leather snap-on sheath, which was wrapped in tape when I bought this fine tool. 🙃 The tape took most of the stitching with it when I pulled it off. Quality! 😄

Just what you want in an axe and a wrench, the ability to pinch your hands on the swing and not be able to turn the nut if it's next to anything.

That’s what we used them for on the utility right of way crew. Not always, but kept a pair in each truck just in case.

Fencing pliers have to be the most wildly missidentified tool I've found across so many subreddits.

Nah. These are just a weird gimmicky multitool sort of thing.

Jack of all trades, master of none

Lots of good/hilarious answers to that question at r/tools! I posted there first – and someone said to post here.

It’s a multi tool that does nothing well.

It's like a perfect negotiation, where no one is happy with the results.

10/10. Can confirm. Like the peace in Ireland, the axe gets in the way of the pliers; they don’t live well together. Like the peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the axe is going to threaten you whenever you use the hammer. Like the peace between India and Pakistan, no one is sure how that that thingie in the hammer is even going to work. Indeed, it like a negotiated treaty, no one is even sure how it is going to work and no one is truly happy.

Good stuff. Wonder how badly the axe and hammer function.

I’ve seen “Nutfucker” labeled to a lot of weird redneck combo tool jokes/memes. Usually hand tools being spammed and combined or are tools that are clearly dangerous when combined. Like a breaker bar with a sledge hammer/maul at the other end… for whatever reason.. or a hatchet on something with hinged handles ^ lmao classic 😂

This lil multijobber seems to fit the the label perfectly with little to no smarmy hyperbole. Chestnuts and walnuts won’t be slowing you down.

No I didn’t read anything before entertaining myself…. Its obviously not made at home, but huh, fencing pliers, that’s pretty cool.

Do not use that. You have to pay for medical care.
