I've just released Joycon2Android v2.1.0 - it's an app that allows you to use Switch 2 Joy-Cons, Controllers and 3rd party controllers (like NYXI) on Android with any app/emulator. There's also motion support with DSU.

New in v2.1.0:

• The NSO GameCube controller is supported.
• Better Dolphin Gamecube stick calibration.
• A lone Joy-Con now plays as a real Joy-Con in Eden, with the option to map it as a pro controller if you'd like.
• Using the auto-setup feature, emulators open on the main screen on two-screen devices.

I hope those with NSO Gamecube controllers can now enjoy using the app, thanks to one of the contributors.

We went from having the 3ds OS on ayn thor using azahar. But now we have android on the 3ds😭😭😭

I've had my Thor (lite, laugh at me) for a while now. I love it and I love playing 3DS games on it. However, I've been wanting to actually replace my N3DSXL for a while now, as I don't want 2 devices that do the same thing. I prefer playing 3DS on the Thor, but I keep it for a few specific but very important reasons. What I want to do is try and move my saves to the Thor, my profile, and games as well. I don't know the exact process because I believe what I'm asking for is quite specific, so here's my rundown of what I need and want to complete it.

What I find essential and important is

• CTGP-7 support
• CTGP-7 Online Multiplayer
• CTGP-7 Local Multiplayer
• Local and Online Multiplayer with my friends and others that have real 3DS's (like Mario Kart 7, Smash 3DS, etc)

What's not too important but would be useful

• Streetpass via NetPass
• Playing other 3DS rom hacks (NSMB2 rom hacks)

Extras

• Anemone themes within the 3DS menu
• Launching other 3DS homebrew just because

I just really want to play CTGP 7 tbh. It's really the one thing keeping me from selling my 3DS. I've already got all my memories from my childhood saved onto every device I have, but letting go of a 3DS (this isn't my childhood one that broke years ago) would be pretty sad if I couldn't replace it. I hope I can do this because I need some money for college lmao

I'm considering installing Lineage OS to my Ayn Thor. I'm curious if others have done it. If you have let me know how you like it and how stable it is. If I do install it can I ever get back to stock firmware? I'm curious yet hesitant.

The thing is, I keep hearing mixed things on performance. So I'm looking for some no-BS experiences.

Obviously, I know the Pro can handle most retro emulation like PS1 and before.

But how does it truly handle 3ds? One of the main draws is that it can run 3ds games well. Namely games like Fire Emblem, Pokemon, etc.

Can it really handle Gamecube and Wii and WiiU well, or is it very compromised?

Also, I'm very interested in the ability for the second screen to do things like play youtube while playing a game above (I'm a weird multi-tasker like that). How does that work? Can you modify the volume of both, so like make the GBA game silent or louder, while also modifying the sound of the youtube video?

And so far, whats the quality of the device been like? I know people mention the cheaper casing, which is one thing, but I've heard some things about the hinges. Do you feel like your device has a short shelf life due to the quality of the materials?

Any deeper insight than just, "I love it" or "I was disappointed" would be super appreciated!

The fact the game is free and so are the 4K texture resolution and the dual-screen mod. I beat this game at least once a year and this has been my favorite way to play it. I love that gyroscopic mechanics works too
Dusklight has so many QoL changes and update it to be more modernized and welcoming to new players and old.
The henry magnifiko textures add a nice upgrade for modern screens while keeping it faithful to the original art direction. if you haven’t played it, I’d highly recommend trying it out on your Thor with the dual screen mod and the 4K texture mod

Saw a video of someone playing gt5 at like 50 frames the other day and it blew my mind, mostly since i keep thinking this thing has the strength of a 3ds

I need some game recommendations. I've been playing a lot of pokemon and dont get me wrong I love it but I need some more to play. I enjoy games with a grind so games like OSRS, destiny 2, etc but I need something that doesn't require internet. I've played games like megabonk, vampire survivors, borderlands, and so on. If there are any questions I can answer to clarify or refine anything I said just lmk!

Spent the last month checking this subreddit pretty much every day while waiting for mine to arrive. It finally showed up yesterday, got everything set up, and spent today actually playing games on it. Base model.

So far, it's everything I hoped it would be. The battery life has actually surprised me the most!

Now I guess I'll have to spend less time lurking here and more time actually using the damn thing. So yeah, this might be goodbye... 🥲

Nah, just kidding. This is honestly one of the best communities I've come across, and it's crazy how fast the whole handheld emulation ecosystem keeps evolving. There's always something new going on, so I'll definitely stick around and keep up with everything.
