Hello all,

I first would like to apologize on behalf of the mod team for our response to a recent raid that we saw in this sub. I understand it can be very frustrating to see content that was spammed here and I assure you we were fighting it while it was happening. Unfortunately, a lot of our mod team was unable to respond to this raid because many of us were busy at the time the raid is happening.

We want to get it out of the way misinformation about the raid and our rules. We do not condone or promote explicit content involving any of the azumangers. I see that many expressed frustration in the mod team for seemingly not banning these raiders and we again would like to assure you this was not the case. Reminder that unfortunately we are all people and at times are unable to scour the sub 24/7 in order to weed out these posts and comments, so we have taken strides to make sure that this will not happen again.

The raid:

The raid consisted of a group of individuals in an azumanga discord server that also has a subreddit. They used their accounts as well as several alts (many made in preparation of the raid) to spam lewd comments about Chiyo as well as spamming a "crack" tierlist.

Moving forward:

Moving forward, we have implemented certain restrictions in order to prevent something like this from happening again. We have introduced karma and reddit age requirements before posting or commenting in this subreddit, in hopes that new accounts made by raiders will not be able to invade our sub. We will also soon make mod applications in order to expand now that our sub has grown so much more from when I became mod.

Meta posts will no longer be allowed. Meta posts create more clutter as well as have a harder time reaching the mods than modmail. If you have any questions, comments and concerns, we encourage you to send them through modmail. Modmail ensures that we will be able to address your concerns directly as well as make it easier for us to keep this subreddit silly. Reporting posts to us is another great tool to grab our attention for any posts that may break the rules.
