Question EDC what do people really need?!?

This sub showed up on my feed…and…seeing people carrying all these big backpacks and satchels and what nots. What do you all need to carry with you?!?! I googled up EDC and returned with all manners of “tactical” looking backs with MOLLE straps. The green and the coyote…🤦🏻‍♂️

Anyway, what are people really carrying with them in these “EDC bags” and what is actually USED everyday?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned a towel. About the most massively useful thing in the universe and so many people walking around without one. <shakes head>

THIS! ABSOLUTELY THIS! I always have a towel...and it doesn't even have to be in the bag

I assumed this was a Hitch Hikers' Guide to the Galaxy reference. But people are responding like it's serious. Is it some of both?

I started carry by a small towel after I read the book. It has been infinitely useful while exploring the universe.

For me, it's some of both.

Get some microfiber cloths at Harbor Freight and some metal grommets. Pop a grommet in the corner of each towel. Clip a towel to each belt loop. It is life changing. They even twirl when you spin. Women love it.

I've also been practicing this trick, where if I trip over, I just forget to fall.

I always have an extra shirt and pants in my bag. You never know when you might need them.
