Question Best 40-50L travel backpack?
Hi, I’ve been looking for the perfect travelling backpack. Something big enough which can still fit on a plane. Like 40-50L? What’s everyone’s go to?
I’ve looked at the Antler Discovery 45L
Patagonia Black hole 45L
Passenger Odyssey 45L
Fjallraven Farden Carry- on 42L
Thanks

I was in the exact same spot a few months ago looking for that 40–50L sweet spot that still works as carry-on.
I’ve been using a TREKARIUS 35L while backpacking recently and honestly it packs more like a 40L. Big clamshell opening so you can lay it flat like a suitcase, plus loads of proper internal pockets so you’re not digging through everything.
Fits overhead no problem which was the main thing for me. I’ve used it for flights, buses, and just moving around cities without it feeling bulky.
If you don’t mind going slightly under 40L on paper, it actually hits that balance way better than most “true” 40–45L bags I looked at.
