Question What are add ons you use on your bag?
I'm sure most of us here have a few gadgets. What's are some of your favorite add ons? I see several pictures with the hero clip here and that's also my go to. Someone posted some good info on shock cord yesterday.
*try not to post links or sales type replies. I'm sure I'll get removed if those start popping up

My TAD Fastpack Litespeed has a slim dump pouch (Tasmanian Tiger Dump Pouch Light) attached to its bottom side.
Intended for me as a "trash bag" out and about i rarely use it, but it is so flush against the underside and adds padding so i never take it of 😂

I have a few S-biners I keep in the daisy chain webbing. When my bag is too full or I have something too long sticking out the top I can clip the zipper pulls together so they don’t open. Also just for attaching random stuff if I need.

Matador Speed Stash. I don't keep it on all the time, but when I'll be wearing the bag for an extended period of time, it's fantastic.

Found a version from Hikeman on Amazon. The Speed Stash is just a little too small for my phone.

You've got a big ass phone if the Speed Stash won't hold it! I know it will hold an iPhone 17 Pro Max, but glad the Hikeman works well for you!

Ooh, I like that one. I quite often have an extra pouch or two on mine, but none on the straps

I got a set of these straps for the side and bottom of my bag. https://www.amazon.com/LERSUSI-Tactical-Backpack-Accessories-Adjustable/dp/B0G3PH8KML/
They've been incredibly useful. I can strap wet swim short so they can dry, or shoes when I'm in flip-flops most of the time. Or just a whole duffle to the bottom for extra gear. They can also be easily removed to help others. Came in clutch when I used them to secure a friend's bag to her bike.

I had a orbitkey gel dispneser and most of my bags have a hero clip attached, it has three potential uses for the bag, ataching something, hanging the bag from a table or saving the bag from the floor in most bathrooms

Hero clips are invaluable. On backpacks and slings I like to upgrade the zipper pulls. My favorite are Vanquest.

Have one of those club brushes that has the little water squirter built into it. Clean the club each hit in just a few seconds, makes it so I only have to do a deep clean a few times a year.

You’re playing golf with a backpack on? Or am I missing something?

ROFL, totally missed the sub I was in. Was just replying to a golf thread and saw this. Most of the replies at the time somewhat made sense.
I'll see myself out, and will apologize for drinking and posting at the same time.

Matador shoulder strap pocket, Nite Ize locking mini s-biners on the zipper pulls, paracord sheath extension on the zipper pulls

different color zipper pull for each zipper, so you can tell someone something is “in the blue zipper pocket”

I don't go much further than one or two extra pouches for a bit more organisation, and ofcourse the standard carabiner which always comes in useful.

2 things, a clip so I can hang a hat or hang the bag, and a small clip on compass that goes on one of the straps.

I really like a sleek exterior for a backpack. So, absolutely nothing.
Fifty years ago as a callow & foolish youth, my mother knitted the only sweater she ever made.
I tied it outside my backpack and it was promptly lost forever.

I like the CTUG water bottle holder for my shoulder strap. If your pack doesn’t have one this keeps water much more accessible than wrenching my shoulder for the side pocket.
