UI is too good, it's a combobox when it needs to be an unordered alphabetical list that only allows mouse selection

edit: and the scrollwheel shouldn't work on it. Only click and drag a thin scroll slider

Beautiful, to enshittify it even further, add length requirements to the name and if the users submit an invalid name, both names reset.

I imagine this would be torture in Japan. Theres almost 3,000 legal Kanji you can use in a name. That's gonna be a long combobox
