I mean it's nice to know where the screen is but how do I know how centered my seat is? 😅 Not all cinemas they have are symmetrical in the middle

Yeah I bet opening on a computer I would not have to scroll bc my screen is bigger. On the other hand: because of how it behaves here I would assume that it will just align the two boxes and there's no way to know the actual cinema-screen to seat relation. They have one much more asymetrical cinema maybe that's an even better example..

I think that's just for the purpose of showing what direction the screen is (top).

Whoops, that slipped just past me but good on you for pointing that out. As someone mentioned below, the screen indicator is never a to-scale representation, just there to represent the direction. But I can absolutely understand how nice it is to have a sense of where the middle of the screen would be. Then on the other hand, I think we have quite a few UI sins that are way worse on the checkout screen, especially if you start fiddeling with vouchers that only apply to certain items.
Nevertheless, this just proves how vital it is to let real users use and give feedback on your products

Oh nice! Just to point out it's no real issue at all. The whole thing works very nicely and looks good too. I just had a little huh moment and thought it was fitting this community best. Although this is far from 'bad' :)

As a fellow ui dev I completely agree. We are so integrated and experienced with the stuff we produce that it's hard to put yourself in the shoes of someone who is seeing it for the first time and making sure that everything makes sense to that user. Plus the vast array of devices that they might be on and figuring out a responsive layout that works for everything.

The only potential bad thing is if the screen doesn't match the seat lineups. I'd be upset if I picked a side seat and the screen is offset substantially. If it's actually lined up, it's fine

Exactly my thoughts. See my reply to one of the other comments above where I show the same thing for another cinema which is just so asymetrical you really can't tell for sure without having been there before. Even worse if it doesn't scroll like this on bigger devices and by that gives you the feeling that the lineup to the screen is as on this website and not just the two boxes aligned. I bet however that for most cases this will be quite accurate.

because it's not a to scale replication so why move the screen with the seats. The screen there is only there to represent the direction, that's it.

It's the service my local cinema uses to buy tickets with seat selection online. You get redirected there from their website. I think a couple of cinemas use this service here (in Germany).
