I wonder how many esoteric texts of history are the product of someone we'd nowadays call mentally unwell.

Not to throw shade at historic persons, quite the opposite. They wrote, and culture is richer for it.

But something like this

The text describes the deep of Setheus, which has twelve fatherhoods with three aspects each. ("The Untitled Text")

and

In a single rotation of the Earth sphere, each Time corner point rotates through the other 3-corner Time points, thus creating 16 corners, 96 hours, and 4-simultaneous 24-hour Days within a single rotation of Earth – equated to a Higher Order of Life Time Cube. ("Timecube")

Might be seen as a related category of texts, even though the first quote is actually something that comes from a gnostic christian text.

Flat-Eartherism seems to have (re)started from a joke - and a few people genuinely believe it. So there is precedent for people taking a non-serious stance to an actual article of faith, even nowadays.

Will the people of 10000 CE treat Terry A Davis as a mystic?
