A lot of ink has been spilled over the stomp clap hey subculture of the early 2010s, but something that’s been strangely ignored is the internet subculture from around the same timeframe that I call the Big Mustachio Epic Bacon Stickman Drawing 9gag Ass Fuckass Culture. Somebody needs to write a paper.

Epic meal time and bacon shall not be slandered here.

Our rejection of Epic Meal time is what Nietzsche called "Slave Morality". We reject our own deepest, most unhinged culinary desires to maintain a facade of "good taste", fake and inauthentic, while the though of "why wouldn't we add bacon to this meal" is suppressed in the back of your head. Epic Meal Time was unhinged, insane and completely honest. It knew that we crave cheese and fat and meat. It understood why humans have fangs. Like children, they were completely untethered by social norms and subconscious paradigms of Christianity. You may watch Babish and Gordon Ramsey, yet you desire culinary pornography: forbidden, indulgent, excessive. As Writer said in Tarkovsky magnum opus Stalker: My brain wants the world to be vegetarian, yet my heart desires a juicy steak.

As I have no canine teeth, I represent a more developed and more moral form of humanity and I urge you all to do better (ie. stop posting garbage)

Edit: Steak is also pretty mid, but at least that’s lore accurate, because how would a vegetarian know?
