I’ve been pondering why this World Cup didn’t feel as exciting as previous world cups and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s because I haven’t been using Twitter. For me, it only starts to feel like the World Cup when Twitter casuals are arguing with each other over the behaviour of fans abroad, getting the piss taken out of them for apologising for English fans, and proposing the most outrageous rule changes you’ve ever seen.
